Nylah's POV
Three days. That's all it took for my life to be turned upsidedown. I mean if some random stranger came to you and started telling you your whole life was a lie, how would you feel? Well I for one didn't take it lightly. Would you believe that the people that have fathered you all your life would lie about being your parents, would lie about you being human? Mine did, which didn't exactly help with my temperamental state of mind. Let me tell you I could get really angry really fast.
So now as I escape from the prison A.K.A my childhood house I am not very happy. I am thoroughly pissed. I climb out my window and storm down the street not caring for looks. People wisely give me a very large berth. Blindly I walk down the streets and finally come to a stop near my favourite part of the city I grew up in. Although shrouded by darkness the park was still beautiful and I entered it. As soon as I did I felt a pressure of something dark, something ...evil and I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. I took a swift glance of my surroundings then shrugged and carried on walking down the weathered path.
The deeper I wandered into the forest the more my instincts were telling me to turn back around and go home but being the born rebel I was; I continued on my way through the park. Suddenly there was a rustling in the leaves and I stopped moving. A sickly noise howled somewhere behind me and I was afraid to turn around.
'So one of the daughters of Espos has decided to walk into my territory, alone...' The creature said and I knew it was a creature because there was no way on earth someone could sound that scary.
'Will you not answer me youngling? I won't bite.' Sinister laughter erupted like a pack of hyenas around me. I could feel my blood boiling and I couldn't hide my anger. Whirling around I retorted, ' Look mis- woah you are ugly!'
There was a deafening silence as i took in the disgruntled look of the...thing in front of me. It was a black skeleton with wiry sinews hanging off its body; its face was contorted with fury and way too ugly. Talk about mirrors breaking....
Then I remembered what I said. As I opened my mouth to apologise a lean figure jumped down from the trees and it tossed my something on impulse I caught it and was looking at a red jewel glinting in my hand then it embedded itself into my arm. Then I blacked out.
