Nylah's POV
I had just finished making my breakfast when a little girl came into the kitchen rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. I immediately grabbed a weapon and waved it at her.
"State your business and I might just let you escape with your life!" I threatened stalking towards her. The little girl had the nerve to start laughing.
I'll show her.
I approached the girl and was about to "deal" with her when I heard someone clear their throat behind me.
"What are you doing Nylah?" Liam asked with a slight raise of his eyebrow. I looked at the girl who was smiling sweetly at me then back at Liam.
"I... Uh... We were playing... IT!" I said nodding trying to look as convincing as possible.
"With a knife?" He asked dryly.
"Yah. It's a version I made myself to enhance safety repercussions." I said seriously.
Man I was too good at lying.
The girl snorted.
"Right repercussions how fun ."
I turned narrowing my eyes at her.
"You don't get a say in this!"
She folded her arms.
"Yes I do. I'm itilerate you know."
I looked at her blankly for a second then rolled my eyes.
"Don't you mean illiterate?"
"No itilerate."
"Illiterate."
"Nuh uh."
"Fine spell itilerate ."
She opened her mouth then closed it .
"How do you spell it."I sighed.
"It's kind of obvious; you spell it with letters."
"Tha... That's not answering the question! Tell her Liam!"
I looked at Liam with my eyebrow hooked. He smirked and looked at the ragamuffin, I mean his sister.
"It is if you think about it. Anyway Leonis is here to take you to the palace for safety Lianne, king's orders."
Lianne huffed sending me a glare and stomped out the kitchen. Liam sent me a an apologetic look.
"Erm do you want to shower?"
Did he seriously just ask me that?
"Nah mate I just love to walk around smelling like a living dumpster."
He sighed in relief.
"Good because we won't have time to...""I was being sarcastic."
Liam looked at me sheepishly.
"Well its kind of hard to know when your being normal or sarcastic since your normally bitter."
Wow I think my head just ticked.
I smiled sweetly looking at Liam.
"Now Liam I know we hardly know each other and all, but there's one thing you should learn very quickly about me. It is that I don't like to be antagonised otherwise I really will be a phoenix. You don't want to see me be a phoenix. Now tell me I'm nice."
His eyes glazed over for a second before he answered.
"You're nice."
"Thank you. Now where's the bathroom?"
