Should I tell them their little girl is no longer little?

It might just break their broken hearts even more so.

She can't keep living in the cage of no dream chasing,

She has to run into the cloud of her own art.

The words I write down hold pieces of me,

You read bits of me and you discard my pain like it doesn't even matter.

That no longer little girl can't become empty like me,

Due to scars left of peoples words.

Words are abused and used to break already breaking people,

She can never see this world.

She's too pure to see what's really beneath the outer shell of humanity.

Broken rules for a broken system,

Everything is dead or dying even the grass is fake.

I protect this girl from losing what makes her so special,

I wish that someone protected me as I was once just like her.
