Chapter 1

" It's funny how a small stoke of happiness can turn something out of a horror movie."

"You're so dramatic. I don't know why you didn't become an actor or something." I smiled down at her.

"Where's the fun in that." She rolled her eyes and sipped her tea.

I can't take this anymore. This therapy crap is just pointless, just absolutely pointless. Every day of every fucking week, it's the same motherfucking thing. You need to relax this, Alejandro. You need to get in touch with your emotions, Alejandro. Shrew this shit!" How do you feel now?" He asked.

"All peachy here, doc." I replied. I lax in hiding my irritation. Damn...I'm going to seriously lose it if this shit doesn't stop." I think we're done for the day." I opened my eyes and tossed the warm towel to the edge of this uncomfortable leather couch. I looked at his frowning face. He has a long, slender face, dark skin, big dark brown eyes and a prefectly shaped goatee. He shook his head and sat back into his chair then throw his right legs over his left and twisted his pen between his fingers.

He cleared his throat and eyed me with his long overdue judgmental looks." How long has it been since we started these sessions? What....nine-ten years and what.....nothing. I'm getting nowhere with you. Don't you want be free from everything that. Is that what scares you? Or are you scared to even face reality that your mortal and that you can't run from your problems."

"For one doc, I'm not scared of anything but I am sick of the same shit that you're  telling me every fucking day." I gritted through my teeth. My fingernails scraped against the couch's arm causing it to tear.

"Ah! There you go again. That anger is meaningless, especially when I'm just stating the obvious. Alejandro, you're just a kid scared of his own shadow--"

"Fuck off!" I yelled cutting him off. I was now standing over him, my fist clenched and ready to make it collide with his face." You don't know what you're talking about. I'm wasting my fucking time with you." I relaxed and massage my aching temples.

"How is your blood pressure?"

"It's fine." I retort, lying through my teeth. It's bad, really bad and getting worst. I moved away from him and sat down.

"Is it?" He questioned. I looked down and shook my head." You know what you need? Conner."

"Conner?" I repeated raising a brow at him. He reached into the draw beside him and took out a blue rubber ball. He throws it and I caught it." A ball? Seriously? Is this some kind of joke?"

He smiled and shook his head." No it's not. Conner there is to help with your anger is--"

"I don't have anger issues." I retort. I squeezed the ball and I felt an instant sense of release.
