Epilogue Part 2

Aaron's POV:

I smiled as she held our beautiful baby in her arms.

I honestly have no idea what I'd do if I didn't have her in my life. She is beautiful, funny, smart, and so much more. She is the love of my life and I am hers.

My thoughts were cut short when her arms sent limp and she closed her beautiful eyes.

I was immediately screaming for a doctor or nurse. I picked up little LeAnn who was crying now and handed her to my mother. Our parents stepped out of the room, while nurses rushed in.

They pushed me out of the room telling me everything was going to be alright. But was it?

As I sat in the waiting room my thoughts drifted to a few hours before.

2 hours earlier

She had passed out just before she was about to go into labor. I was freaking out, but the doctor said it was nothing serious. They also told me that they would do a C section.

I put on the gear, given to  me by the nurses, so I could see my wife and baby go through the surgery.

They had given her something to help ease the pain if she had woken up.

Minutes later I heard the cry of our baby, and looked over. It was a girl.

I burst out in a smile and bent down next to my wife's face. "It's a girl", I whispered and kissed her cheek lightly.

They went to do test and clean the baby and moved Kavery and I to her regular room.

Kavery was still asleep when they brought the baby back in. The baby was perfectly healthy besides asthma that we could take care of, and would most likely wear off in her later stages of life.

I saw slight movement in Kavery.
"Babe, are you awake?"

She responded by opening her eyes. Her eyes searched lower until they landed on our baby.

"What do you want to name her?" I asked.

"LeAnn" she responded almost immediately.

I smiled but unfortunately it was wiped right off my face.

Back to the Present

After waiting three hours in the waiting room, someone finally came out to tell me what the heck was going on.

The doctor said, "She went into a short coma from all the blood loss, but we fixed her and she should be awake any moment now."

"Can I see her?" I said a little annoyed.

"Yeah, just do-" as he kept rambling I basically sprinted down the hall.

As I opened the door she turned her head towards mine, but I didn't even let her say anything as I crushed my lips to hers.

I pulled back and said, "You are the love of my life, I love you, and I love LeAnn. Please don't ever do that again I don't know what I would do if you left me."

I started to cry in the middle of my words. I meant it all. Nothing was an understatement and by the look in her eyes I knew she knew.

4 days later

Kavery's POV:

I'm feeling a lot better. It has been four days since I gave birth to my previous little angel. Aaron drove us home, cooked me lunch and dinner, and put LeAnn asleep after I fed her. He even carried me to our room.

I still feel sore from where I was cut for the surgery, but barely.

Aaron must have known this because jumped on top of me and kissed all over my face. It was kind of gross though. He laughed when he pulled back then looked into my eyes. His expression suddenly becane serious.

He bent his head down and kissed my forehead, then the tip of my nose, then hovered over my lips, before saying "I love you."

"I love you t-" but stopped when his lips crashed on mine.

I was happy with the life I am in. Beyond happy. I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if I had gone against my parents ways and married Cade. What if I had not fallen in love with Aaron?

I may never know, but I was okay with that. I didn't want my life to be any different.
