Pain and Happiness

I was inspired by this AMV that a friend showed me. The emotions it gave me were intense and I felt that I should try writing what this AMV made me feel. So Here is the AMV now here's what I did

Pain and Sorrow

Happiness and Love

Two sides of the same coin

Both pierce the heart with savagery

Sadness and Loneliness eating away at you piece by piece

Swallowed up ruthlessly by the darkness that surrounds you

Clawing and struggling to breathe, gasping for air

You call for help on the inside, begging...screaming

"Someone please see through this smile

Please look me in the eye and see me!"

No one wanting to recognize your pain, their words are
filled with pity and emptiness

Or worse they simply ignore it all together, only to graze by not uttering a word selfishly

You become numb, as you wear that false smile day after day, week after week, year after year

But time keeps moving you forward,
Forcing you to stumble through this monotone world

So you push back your pain, and take step after step

Ignoring that heart wrenching loneliness that engulfs your soul,

Knowing it's a fairy tale,

Knowing that it is only a dream, you hold a small hint of hope.

Refusing to give up

Having hope that one day

Things might change

That maybe there is a soft pink light called love at the end of this long and harsh road.

That someone, somewhere is willing to look into your pain filled eyes

And see past that fake smile you wear so well

Someone who breaks through your numb heart

Who makes you feel those deep emotions you thought you had once lost

Saying, "It's okay to cry and break down.

It doesn't make you weak just human."

Terrified as your heart begins to shake

The emotions you kept hidden surfacing all at once

You try to run away, afraid of the pain you sealed away long ago

As they grab you, and hold you close, not letting you escape

Feeling their warmth, as they squeeze you tightly

Embracing you with such a tender touch

As they whisper softly ....

"You're Not Alone Anymore"

So, you keep walking

Keep struggling against the bitter loneliness

You wear that fake smile and numb your broken heart as time demands of you

For that day that you hold hope for,

Will never come if you don't.
