What The Lonely Eyes See

36 7 3

I see the shadows of the dreaded ones,
I see the light covered in darkness,
I see the demons laughing in the dark,
I see the hope, shattered and betrayed.

I see the smiles of my comrades,
I see their cold grins behind my back,
I see the hearts corrupted by greed,
I see their voice, roaring with terror.

I see my mother playing with fire,
I see my father hanging from the roof,
I see my sister holding hands with the devil,
I see my brother, fallen in despair.

I see the horror that covers the truth,
I see the lies that are our daily life,
I see the force that needs to be reckoned with,
I see what others refuse to see.
