Madison's pov💢
"We're going to have a party at Cameron's later. You coming?" Matt asks.
"Sure." I shrug. Might as well. I need to take my mind off things anyways.
"You okay?" Matt asks and sits next to me on my bad. I nod.
"What is it?" He asks.
"Nothing. I just.. Have to quit gymnastics.." I trail off.
"What!? You can't! You're an elite gymnast." He says.
"I know. But if I want to go on tour with you. I have to." He looks down.
"Then stay here and train. It's okay."
"I want to go with you. Plus I don't have the money for it. I don't have a sponsor. Nothing. So it doesn't matter." I shrug it off.
"You sure?" He asks.
"Positive." He hugs me.
-night-
It's currently 6pm. The party is at 7:30. so I decide to get ready. I put on some ripped skinny jeans, white converse, and a light brown cardigan with a white shirt underneath it. I straighten my hair, and apply make up to my lashes, and eyelids. I drive Matt and I to Cameron's house. Once we arrive Cameron greets us at the door.
I get handed a red solo cup with beer. I sip it.
"You drinking?" Matt laughs.
"Oh yeah." I sigh and sip some more.
-next day-
"Mads." Someone shakes me gently.
I groan.
"Mads." The person shakes me again.
"what?" I mumble. I still don't open my eyes though. I hear the curtains open. Ugh! I shut my eyes tighter. The light hurts my head. I bury my head in the pillow.
The person rolls me over. I finally open my eyes. Cameron.
"What?" I groan.
"Get up. It's 12pm."
"Dude I sleep til like 3." He laughs. I put my hand on my head.
"Headache?" He asks.
"No." I sarcastically respond. He rolls his eyes playfully.
"Here." He hands me 2 Advil and a cup of water.
"Take this. It'll help your hangover. I promise." I take the pills, and bury my head back into my pillow.
"No." Cameron rolls me back over.
"You need to eat breakfast. It'll help."
"No. I'm too lazy to get up. Wait where am I?"
"My bed." Ohh.
"How'd I get here?" I ask.
"I carried you." He simply says. I hate the thought of him carrying me. Everyone tells me I'm as light as a feather. I think the opposite. A brick building would be lighter. Oh well.
I close my eyes again.
"No!" He whines.
"I'm not walking all the way down stairs."
"Fine." He throws the covers off of me.
"Cameron." I grumble. He just laughs and picks me up bridal style.
"What are you doing?"
"Carrying you downstairs." He laughs. He walks down the stairs and sets me down at the table.
"You had to drink that much?" Matt laughs.
"Oh yeah." I rub my temples.
"You can-"
"No. I already made my decision." I cut him off. I know he wants me to further my gymnastics career but it's not happening.
I want to go with him. Plus I'm not that good.
"Made your decision about what?" Cameron ask setting down pancakes in front of me. I push them away. I feel like I'm going to vomit.
"Eat them. It'll help soak up the alcohol." Cameron pushes the plate back towards me.
"About me either going with Matt on tour or stay and train as an elite gymnast." I answer his question.
I get a nod. I take one bite of my pancakes. Ew. No. I can't do this. I push the plate away again.
"Am I gonna have to feed you like a baby?" Cameron laughs.
"If you want me to throw up on you. Be my guest." I motion to the plate. He laughs and shakes his head. That's what I thought.
"Why'd you have to drink so much again?" Cameron asks. I shake my head and motion to Matt. I'll let him explain it. My head is pounding.
"She's an elite gymnast. She can't stop training for one day. So she has to quit or not go on the tour. She decide to quit. She needed to pretty much relieve stress." I nod indicating that that's the reason. Cameron just nods.
Cameron's pov💢
I don't want her to quit gymnastics but I need her to come on the tour with me. Us. My bad. I think I'm starting to like her. Like her, like her. This is going to be a long tour.
