I sighed in frustration. My coworker and friend, Lindsay Messer, looked up from her laptop and gave me a sympathetic smile. I was grimacing at my computer, rotating the diamond ring on my left ring finger around, something I tended to do when nervous or frustrated.

"Cat, let's take a break. Danny and Flack said that there's this great food truck outside the lab; we should check it out," Lindsay said. She somehow always knew when I needed a break from the difficulties of planning for the wedding.

I sighed again and leaned back in the comfortable chair in front of my deck, pinching the bridge of my nose before nodding. Pulling a drawer open, I grabbed my bag and followed Lindsay out the door and downstairs.

"So, I talked to Mac, he said we could take next week off to do some dress hunting." We were waiting outside for our food, leaning against one of those raised planters with colorful flowers in it.

"Huh. A whole week," I muttered. I was stressed out. I actually sat down and pulled my knees to my chest.

"Cat, come on. This isn't so bad."

"Linds, you and Danny got married at the city clerk's office with a money order. That wasn't so bad. Mac and I are having an actual wedding," I said as the guy called our names for the food. Grabbing the bag and sriracha packs, I walked towards the little cafe seating area near the truck and dropped it on a table. Everyone knew I loved sriracha on almost everything I could put it on.

After a couple minutes of us just eating, Lindsay surprised me. "Danny and I will pay for catering."

I looked up, shock most likely playing across my face. "Babe, you're pregnant. Shouldn't you be saving up for those expenses? I know you have yours and Danny's income, but are you sure?"

"Well, everyone else is pitching in a little. They all wanted to help."

I smiled, realizing I worked with some of the best people ever.
