Sydney's POV
I am not sure how much time has passed by. The minutes feel like hours, the hours like days, the days like years and I am assuming the years will turn into the end. The end of the world or just my life I am not to sure, but I hope my end will not cause suffering. I pray that my death will be quick and painless, no pain and no hurt. However, after living the life I was born into for the past eighteen years, I have been forced to accept the fact that this existence is nothing but suffering. All I want is to be loved and to live filled with nothing but happiness. I want to be able to hold my little girl and never let her go. I haven't seen her in a couple of months, since my 'mother' kicked me out of the house. That no good, dirty witch pretends that my daughter is hers in order to lie herself into a good conscious.
"We all can't get what we wish for" I whisper to myself looking around the old abandoned house I currently living/ squatting in. The house was located in the rich neighborhood of Society Hill, Pennsylvania.
---------------------------------------------------------2 weeks later------------------------------------------------------
"STOP!" I yelled as tears rolled down my cheeks " STOP!"
I ran into the street, in front of the car begging and pleading for the driver to stop. This was my one and only chance to get away.
"Are you out of your mind!" I hear him scream as he jumped out of his car "I could have killed you!"
"There's no time for that!" I yell "They're after me! Please, I don't have much time!
"Get in the car NOW!" he screamed as we watched the two large men walk out of the wooded area. I instinctively get in the car and wait for him to start driving. He hops in slamming his foot on the pedal heading towards the warehouse. "Why were they after you?"
"Look, no offense, but considering the fact that I don't particularly know you I think I'll pass on telling you my life story." I replied rolling my eyes in annoyance.
"Considering that I probably just saved your life, you need to tell me something! And let's not forget that you're the one who jumped in front of my car." He said
"Listen pops now is not the time to argue. We need to hurry up and get out of town before they catch up to us." I explained rolling my eyes
"If you keep up with the attitude I will stop this car." He replied as he glared at the road
I laughed staring at him because I think for a second he thought he might've sounded just a bit-what's the right word-scary, terrifying, serious, authoritative...the list goes on. Either way he was Mom of those things.
"Are you done with your temper tantrum because the moment you stop this car in this city is the moment we both end up dead."
Okay, so please tell me what you guys think! Also, will anyone be able to make a cover for this book?
