I instantly got chills when we pulled up and seen the large prison-like building.
"That?" I asked, not wanting to hear the answer.
"Yep that's it. It's better on the inside." The driver answered as she got out.
Sean just sat in the front and stared threw the windshield at the building. He was regretting his decision on coming here.
"Do we go in?" I whispered to him.
"'Course." He said, getting out and following the lady to the front double doors.
I quickly got out and ran to catch up.
We put open the doors and look around curiously. She wasn't lying when she'd said it was nicer on the inside.
There were nice green chairs and a sign in desk. It looked like a high class hotel. It was like a waiting room when we'd first walked in.
"Come with me." The lady told us and we followed her over to the desk where a man awaited.
She told the man our names and he checked some paper and wrote things I couldn't see.
"Alright," she started as she turned to us, "everywhere you go has rules. It's no different for us. So first things first; if you wish to get some fresh air, you must come back before ten p.m. You may not choose to leave the building past ten either. The boys and girls dorms are separate and there is no spending the night in the opposite sex dorm. There are activities like sports, fire pits, etcetera out in the back. You must check out at the front desk before you leave the building at any time."
We both froze. We never had rules at our house.
"When do we eat?" Sean asked.
"You'll eat whenever you'd like except you only get three meals a day along with a snack." She explained. "Food court is along this hall." She pointed. "Just no food in your rooms."
"Alright. Well, can you show us our room later? We wanna eat now." Sean demanded.
"Oh yeah sure. I'll just call someone to get your bags and take them to your rooms. Just meet me back here in an hour and I'll get you settled in." Her smile was so wide I thought it would knock me over.
"Yeah. 'Kay thanks." Sean smiled at her and she smile back as she walked away.
He took a large breath. "Well, you ready?" He smiled down at me.
                              "I guess so." I answered.
"Alright then, let's go eat." He put his arm around my neck and we walked down the hall and to the food court.
