The tears streamed down my cheeks as I stood in the room, clearly taken back by his "warning." I know I say I am strong and all but when it comes to my parents' health and safety that's a whole other situation. Zayden's harsh way of speaking, hurt me. His words hurt me only because I knew I would have no other way of getting my father better.

Subconsciously, I ran out after Zayden.

He was already a yard or two away. I ran up to him infuriated.

"What part do you not understand of we never welcome newcomers, do you not understand?" He yelled turning his tall, broad body towards me.

Ignoring his stupid question, I immediately started hitting his chest with my fists.

"I only asked for one favor. ONE. One fucking favor!" I cried out between sobs.

Zayden remained unperturbed and calm. My constant swings against his chest, only caused my knuckles to become sore and red. At the moment, however, I could have cared less.

He chuckled once I stopped punching him repeatedly. My chest was rising and my breathing was heavy. Fury ran through my veins seeing him so content with himself. There he stood before my eyes as I broke down and he did not give a shit.

"You done?" He smirked raising an eyebrow.

"You're the most selfish little asshole I have ever met!" I spat.

"I told you baby girl, you don't always get what you want in this world." And he kept walking away into the small crowd of people. Some of the kids running around playing, stopped to look at all the commotion. They watched this girl be yelled at and break down. Their eyes remained wide.

As Zayden walked away he shooed away the children and they obeyed immediately, almost as if they were afraid of him. He must be the one "in charge" or something similar.

I finally managed to gather together my emotions when I noticed Liam walking back to where I stood.

"Olivia!" I flinched.

"Y-yes?"

"Are you leaving soon? Our people are getting suspicious and worried. They won't be able to rest with you here."

I stared at him blankly.

"I don't know."

He gave me a bewildered look, "What do you mean?"

"I came here for something and Zayden refuses to give me it. So I suppose I'll refuse to leave."

"What is it specifically you want...?"

"I need more medicine for my father."

Liam simply shook his head.

"We do too, Olivia. We need it, too..."

"But you guys took more..." I said almost inaudibly.

He rubbed his chin which had some stubble barely noticeable. Kind of hot if you ask me.

"Look, I know I'm a fucking asshole and I screw around and shit but I'll try and talk to Zayden for ya."

I did not say a word. I didn't know whether to believe his word or not.

"You said you needed it for your father correct?"

I nodded.

"You can stay at the room I first brought you in. It's my home. But I have duty tonight, I have to keep out watch. I'll let you know tomorrow."

"Okay..."

As I headed back towards his "house", he called me one more time.

"Oh and Olivia."

"Yes?"

"Please don't go snooping around and touching my shit. I will find out and I promise you I won't be so nice."

I sighed and headed back inside. I took off my bag off my shoulder and set it next to the bed. I remained quiet and still in a confused manner. Liam warned Zayden earlier about giving me more meds, yet here he is NOW trying to be nice? I must remain alert. They could be planning something.

Also, if Zayden doesn't agree with whatever Liam has to say he will surely come back in here and have me killed, no doubt in that. He said he would have "his men" slice my throat if I didn't leave.
Could Zayden really be that heartless?

I lay down on the uncomfortable matress. I stared off into the darkness. I prayed that Zayden would change his mind afterall.

Later on, I woke up by some sudden and harsh whispers right outside the door. I never even realized I had fallen asleep. Rubbing my eyes, I slowly sat up trying to listen to whomever was outside.

"Please?"

"Why should we?!"

"C'mon don't you feel sorry... her father could be sick like Ethel..."

I realized who it was. It was Liam and Zayden arguing.

"You didn't even want to give her any in the first place!"

"Shut up. I came to my senses... sort of... Listen mate, just help her out will ya?"

"I'm not giving her anymore of the medication. We might end up needing some back, and who knows she may disappear and we'll never be able to find her again."

There was a moment of silence between them.

"Let her and her parents stay here." Liam proposed.

"Fuck."

"Zayden..."

"Fuck, fine! But if this ends up being a trap and she ends up taking all our shi-"

"I know." The sound of heavy footsteps coming closer was heard. Soon two figures came in through the door.

"Olivia." Zayden spoke in a deep voice. His hair was slightly messed up and his deep raspy voice indicated he too had probably just woken up not too long ago.

"We have come up with a deal." Liam added.

"Okay."

"Zayden wouldn't budge in on giving you medicine so instead you and your family are coming here to stay with us."

Zayden rolled his eyes dramatically. Sassy much.

"How will I manage to get them here by mysel-"

Liam cut me off, "Zayden agreed to go out and help you bring them here. Right, Zayden?"

"What?! I never said such thing!"

"But you're going. I can handle this while you're gone for a few hours." Liam said proudly. He clearly loved making Zayden mad and vice versa.

"Should we get going now that it's bright daylight?"

We all walked towards the door, Liam and Zayden exiting, with me following once again like a lost puppy.

"No." Zayden immediately spoke.

"I have to check something first. But you're coming with me."

"Good luck." Liam called out as he walked away.

"Where are we going?" I questioned Zayden as we continued walking further from Liam's home.

"My place."
