She repaid me with some tea.

I like my tea, so I didn't mind. In fact, the company was a lot better than the tea. She seemed very cynical towards me at first, she showed she was obviously a confident person, but whenever I complimented on anything about her, she would get flustered and almost glare at me. After a while I complimented her just to see her blush.

Eventually, I needed to leave.

I put my tea cup back on the small plate I was given and nodded to the young woman. "If you'll excuse me, I must take my leave," I informed. I stood up and smiled to her, dismissed myself and went to leave.

She seemed to jump at my sudden dismissal, pushing her chair back from her standing up. "Wait!"

I stopped and turned, somewhat surprised by her sudden outburst. "I must admit I didn't know you were capable of yelling," I chuckled to her. She blushed from her sudden outburst, but literally rubbed her blush away.

"C-Can I see you again?" she asked me.

I was further taken aback by the sudden request, she seemed almost embarrassed to ask me, but I found it cute. I composed myself and smiled with a nod, "Of course. I look forward to it." I tapped my head to dismiss myself again.

I made it about twelve paces when she suddenly called out. "Wait! I don't have your name."

I froze to my spot and tried to think this over. My real name? My fake name?

I turned to her and flashed her another smile. "My name is Harold, Harold Pep." With that I turned and continued walking.

The young lady went wide eyed from my blunt statement and chased after me. She followed me around the corner, but by then I was nowhere to be seen, at least by her.

I leaned over the edge of the rooftop looking down on her as she looked around in bewilderment at my absence. But she soon chuckled, a scoff of amusement coming from her as she folded her arms and sighed, "Alright Harold. Until next time."

I watched her walk away without any more words.

I landed with feather-like elegance on the ground and stared at the corner, half expecting her to peek around the corner and cheer in triumph over seeing that I hadn't actually left, but I didn't see her face again. I dismissed myself for real this time and started walking down the street again.

I went into the early twilight, after all, I do still have jobs to do. And if I want to make time for that young lady, I needed to finish them quickly.

I had managed to find everybody but Erica Wright and Darrel Creek, not that I had much of a chance finding them in that town. Either way, my superiors seemed to find my ratio satisfactory due to the amount I was given in the first place. They accepted me missing a couple and simply gave me my next assignments.

I spent a surprising amount of time seeing this young woman. I liked her company, she was unlike any of the other demons in my world and she seemed generally nicer and unique compared to other people.

But every time I asked her name, she never told me, just laughed, winked and changed the subject quite skilfully.

But one day, I came to see her like I normally had. We seemed to have this idea of where and when. Every second Monday, in these fields outside of her town place. She liked the outdoors, while I liked the company while in solitude.

No demons were bound to see me here.

She didn't know I was a demon however, and I was happy to keep it from her. And all seemed fine for the longest time.
