sunshine [drabble]

you are my sunshine, my only sunshine

the song played suddenly in your head. you giggled. if any, your boyfriend wasn't even a single thing like sunshine. sunshine supposed to be bright and full of life, giving everyone energy. not that your boyfriend is a very gloomy one, no. he just too calm for a rather aggressive sunshine.

you make me happy, when skies are grey

you never thought of him as a sunshine, no, he just too calm. never, until you saw him play for the first time.

the way he runs here and there, the way he jumps to pass the ball, the way a slight curve appeared on his lips when his team scored, the way he cheers his team with some sort of motivation.

he's glowing.

he's shining.

brightly.

he's your sunshine. maybe other people will laugh if you tell them that but he really is your sunshine.

you clutched your chest painfully. a single tear made its way down your cheek. the picture of him with his stoic face rested on the stone quietly. the picture reminds you of how much you love his ever-so stoic face. you almost laugh when you realize how he didn't even smile on the photo. well, that was just like him.

but he wasn't there anymore...

you broke down.

please don't take my sunshine away...
