Dani's POV

For the past few days, me and Parker have been meeting in my meadow. One of us would sneak out of the house around midnight, and the other one would follow minutes later. We would bring blankets, pillows, and skittles. Our conversations were deep and silly at the same time.

We tried to count all of the stars in the sky, but Parker cheated. He told me that I was the only star he saw. Honestly, my heart melted and flowed into my shoes.

There is still something that eats away at my happiness: Brayden. He hasn't called or texted in almost a month. Is this considered a break-up? Should I call him? Should I tell him everything about me and Parker? I'll just wait until he calls me. That's okay to do. . .I guess.

A quiet knock on my door quickly pulled me out of my thoughts. My body was still tangled deep in my duvet, and my head was underneath my pillow. "Don't breathe too fast, and don't make sudden movements. Pretend you're still asleep," I thought to myself.

The room was completely silent except a couple of scattered footsteps. Suddenly, a random mass of yells filled my room when someone jumped on my bed. My duvet was being jerked off me. I couldn't control my laughter, and I fought to keep the duvet around me by rolling myself around it. I had made a safe cacoon.

"Why you gotta be so rude, Dani!" Butterflies reappeared in my stomach, hitting every thing while scattering and fluttering to my gut.

"Shut up, Parker!" My voice was unusually loud.

The duvet was smothering me. I had no air, so I tried to peek over the top. Parker was starring at me whit his eyebrows raised and a smirk plastered across his face. "I love him," I thought to myself. Those three words made my cheeks burn.

"You okay, Daniella? Your cheeks are super red." Without answering, I climbed out of my boiling cacoon and laid beside him. The cold house air hit my bare arms like a hurricane. My body shivered.

I quickly got up and threw on the first hoodie I could find. It was a Dr. Pepper maroon hoodie that was too big for my body. It literally looked like a baggy dress. At least I was warm now.

"So, I uploaded early this morning." I stood in front of him, starring into his eyes.

"When? After we had our little rendezvous?" I laughed quietly. Parker sat up and placed his hands above my hips.

"I mentioned you." My body tensed.

"Well, what did you say?" He stood up, pulling me close to his body. My arms wrapped around his neck while my eyes wandered over his apparel. He had on a Super League tee with dark black joggers. Gosh. . .he looks good.

"I told the viewers that I had met a girl. I didn't give a name because of Brayden, but I wish I would have." He seemed slightly nervous. "Daniella, I need to tell you something. I wanted to tell you since I met you, but I also didn't want to scare you off." He took in a deep breath and starred back at me. "Daniella, I lo-" His words were cut off by my Aunt's voice downstairs.

"Daniella! You've got company!" Seriously? Parker had to tell me something important.

I cursed under my breath while moving away from Parker. "I'll just tell you later. Hey, I'm going to take a quick shower so. . .yeah." He seemed highly disappointed.

"Parker, kiss me." I fiddled with the ends of my sleeves while timidly glaring at him.

He nearly sprinted to my position. His slightly cold hands cupped my cheeks. I grabbed his waist, jerking it in my direction. "I love you." His lips collided with mine roughly. I kissed him back with equal force.
