Hello darlings!
Im glad you are liking the story I've taken months and months to put together. It's been...a journey

NOW, onto the show...Because I know you hate me right now for such the long wait but let's move past that..

Bella's POV

Three months later

My father once told me that he never understood why my mother chose to stay along his side. With the long hours and days he'd be gone, they struggled to find time to spend together, but they managed it. They even fit me in the picture. But I was really taking things into perspective after these past few months.

Edward was a dream and God knows I could never love another man as much as I love him. Our baby was growing and perfectly healthy to our great fortune. Needless to say, I was happy. But conflicted.

I kept bouncing back and forth the idea of retiring early...really early. It just seemed like the right thing to do. How would I juggle being a mother and a full time FBI agent? My parents had to leave me with many nannies as the years went by but they hated doing so, so they simply modified their schedules. Could Edward and I do that, though? We were always on the go, traveling here and there at any time it requires us to. I guess Esme and Carlisle were an option, but they had lives of their own...

"What's wrong, baby?"

Edward appeared by my desk at work soundlessly, startling me so much I jumped in my seat.

"Woah, there! Are you okay?"

I straightened up in my seat, flustered after being in such deep thought.

"I'm fine. I just got caught up thinking is all," I shrugged.

"About what?" Edward asked, a brow raised suspiciously.

"This and that...I mean, Edward. I'm pregnant, you know my body's out of whack. I can't think straight," I teased. Although my acting skills weren't necessarily all that great, so his questioning look was expected. I just didn't want to have this conversation here at work. It wasn't the right time to bring up leaving this place.

"Hmmm...well, I came to tell you that Grant is asking us to meet up together in the conference room. I don't know what for, but I guess we'll find out."

I sighed and got up to follow Edward and the rest of the men. After the whole Demetri incident, Grant has been on edge and consulting with the board regarding the liable people at work here. He was determined to find all of those involved with aiding him....Victoria was the first to go.

It seemed like he was far more perturbed by my dissapearence but I was recovering rather quickly. The first month was a mess. The night terrors increased and my anxiety was through the roof, but somehow I found peace. Just coming to the realization that there were nomore danger and I had many things to live for heightened my motivation to move forward.

I was proud of what I've accomplished.

By the time we reached the conference room, Grant and the others had already taken their seats around the large table. Edward and I were the last to arrive so we hurried to get this meeting of sorts started.
