What happened?

Wake up in the morning, clock says half past one

I have no sunglasses, as I step into the sun

There's no recollection of the evil things I've done

My head feels like I musta' had some fun

Ch. 3 - Hangovers, A Shortened Life Expectancy, & Barbie's Slutty Best Friend

I woke up the next morning to a pounding headache, crazy hair, and a smug demeanor.

I flattened my hair and stretched. Well, I tried to. Two bodies blocked my way. Brynn and....who the heck was the other person?!

I threw off the covers of Brynn's king sized bed, but the person's head was covered by the pillow. I reached underneath poked it's face.

It groaned and rolled over, facing the wall.

I peered over the person, trying to see who it was.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw it was Rachael. Her fiery red hair gave her away. That and her snore. The oh so familiar sound of a freight train.

Brynn rolled over and her hand flopped in Rachael's face. I tried to keep in my laughter.

I crawled out from the bed and stretched again, wincing at my stiff muscles. I don't even remember anything after leaving the party.

The party. Flashes of it came back in my mind. Especially the negotiation between Diesel and I. Did I seriously agree to that?

Then I smirked lazily as I recalled my words to Diesel as I left the party. He had been with a group of his buddies and hadn't seen me yet. I had wanted to have the last word.

I had walked up to him and leaned towards his ear. I was aware of all his friends looking on, but hey, they were going to know about the bet sooner or later. Like when I won.

"It's funny how you think I'm a virgin, Arlex. Game on bad boy."

I said it so only he could hear. Then I had walked out, leaving a stunned Diesel and a crowd of curiouser onlookers.

A loud snore echoed through the room and I suddenly realized I had to tell Brynn. That would be...interesting. I shuddered at the thought.

I glanced at the clock. It read about fifteen minutes til one in the afternoon.

After pulling on some dark spandex shorts and a tank top and brushing my teeth and birds nest hair, I headed downstairs where I assumed Leila would be. She was an early riser. By early I mean noon. Poor girl.

I walked into the kitchen and saw her talking to Nick adoringly.

Nick Laihart, Brynn's twin brother, was my best guy friend. Brynn and I had met in third grade, when I stuck up for Brynn because a girl was teasing her. Nick had come up and was furious, thinking I was the girl who had been teasing Brynn. Once the situation had been righted, the three of us became steadfast friends. We met Rachael and Leila in fifth grade and now here we were.

Everyone knew Leila had a crush on Nick, except him apparently. We had tried everything to hook them up, but it never worked. Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, no, Nick is not gay.

Leila turned to face my direction and nearly jumped out of her skin.

"Oh my god Vi! You scared the bejeezus out of me! Heard of announcing yourself when you come into a room?!"
