Oh, finally found a girl that you couldn't impress,
Last man on the earth, still couldn't get this.
You're delusional, you're delusional
Boy you're losing your mind
It's confusing yo, you're confusing you know
Why you wasting your time?

Ch. 6 - Avoidance is the Key to Attachment
I was nervous to say the least. Ever since I met Diesel I was nervous.
I was supposed to go over to Diesel's house tonight. His house. His abode. His den. His-you get the point.
Ever since Monday, it was currently Thursday, the only time we had talked was during Chemistry for the project. Although he had been the one to suggest us working on the project together. At his house. Shocker.
I was pondering over whether I should bring just my mace or additionally bring my pocketknife. The knife was bought in a Girl Scout summer camp store when I was in third grade. It wouldn't cut anything. At all. But it looked intimidating enough...if you thought a pink plastic covering with green polka dots was intimidating. Some people might.
Okay so I wasn't actually nervous enough to bring a knife into his home. But the mace...
I sat at our kitchen counter, too nervous to really eat anything. I was supposed to go over at five. It was 4:57.
I know that punctuality is an important quality. I know that being late is rude. I know all that. But I was just SO nervous.
Would his parents be there? Would he try anything on me? He didn't seem like the rape type....but you never know. He could have some bipolar disorder that turned him into a psycho, deranged killer. I mean, you think you know people and then they jump at you with a gun.
I finally steeled my nerve and grabbed my bag from the counter. Locking the door of the house behind me, I walked to Brynn's car which I was borrowing, a black Honda Civic.
I knew where Diesel lived. That sounded weird, I'm going to rephrase that. I know where Diesel's house was because Brynn had driven me through his neighborhood and past his house multiple times, trying to catch him mowing the lawn shirtless or something that always centered around him being nude somehow. Of course, I didn't tell him that when he texted me his number...
I glanced at the clock, 5:03. I sighed and started the car, slowly pulling out and driving to his house.
I was pretty proud of myself when I pulled into his driveway at 5:14. I could be a race car driver- no I really couldn't.
His house, though it had awed me the first time Brynn managed to pull my eyes away from my phone and onto his house, didn't shock me as much as before. It was a glass and wood structure that screamed modern architecture. I'm sure the inside was as lavish as the outside.
I pulled down the visor, checked my hair for bumps, checked my teeth for food...though I hadn't eaten and took a deep breath.
I would face my imminent death with my head held high.
I stepped out of the car, slamming the door shut behind me after grabbing my bag.
I eyed the Lamborghini, the Pilot, the Range Rover and the Lexus in the car garage which had their doors up. Someone made a lot of money.
I wondered what his parents did for a living. His mom was probably some snotty fashion designer and his dad a franchise businessman.
I stepped up to the door and rang the bell before I could chicken out. I rang the bell of death and the Grim Reaper answered.
