It's as easy as,
1, 2, 3, do you see what I do
Truth or dare, yes I double dare ya
You, you, me, now I think I got it
One last breath and just spin the bottle now
'Truth or Dare' - Mariana's Trench
Saturday wasn't that exciting til night time.
After most of the day passed with me sleeping, eating, or watching reruns of Supernatural, a phone call finally came from Brynn at around 8 PM.
"Can I come over? I want to at least have company while I wallow in self misery and embarrassment."
I rolled my eyes, taking a swig of Coke, before replying.
"You know you can. Mi casa es su casa."
"Yeah, I don't speak Chinese."
I face palmed, cursing my friend's extreme lack of language skills.
"Get your ass over here."
"Woah. Is that Vivianna Wintours I hear saying 'ass'? I knew Diesel was a good influence."
"What?"
"Nothing. Gotta go. Bye. Love you!"
Click.
I sighed, shaking my head, before unlocking the front door for Brynn and heading upstairs.
After taking a quick shower, I changed into sweats and threw my hair into a braid.
"Vivi?" came Brynn's voice from downstairs.
Sighing, I took a last glance at myself in the mirror before heading downstairs to Brynn.
"Hey Bry," I greeted gently, slightly hesitant.
My eyes scanned her curled up form on the couch.
Her hair was piled up in a bun, and her face was free of makeup. This was a crisis.
"Hey," she muttered, glancing up from her Cosmo mag.
"Learn any new tricks?" I asked, nodding my head towards the magazine.
"Not for how to maim someone by thinking about them..."
"And you'd think Cosmo would have just that...."
She cracked a grin, making me feel slightly better.
"Really though...are you okay?" I asked.
She sighed, before meeting my gaze. "I'm fine. Still a bit shaken up, but fine. Last night was hard but Devon....Devon helped a lot."
I nodded, taking in her soft smile.
"Well, if you need me, you know I'm here."
Brynn smiled. "Always?"
"Always."
Brynn threw aside her mag. "So, what now?"
"Well, we could watch movies? Or..."
"Or invite everyone over and plays games?" she suggested with doe eyes.
I sighed.
After Josh, Devon, Leila, and Rachael arrived, we all gathered in the living room.
Nick couldn't come due to a boatload of homework. Typical prep school overload.
"I say we play truth or dare," Rachel suggested.
