So you wanna play with magic
Boy, you should know what you're falling for
Baby do you dare to do this?
Cause I'm coming at you like a dark horse
Are you ready for, ready for
A perfect storm, perfect storm
Cause once you're mine, once you're mine
There's no going back
...
It's in the palm of your hand now baby
It's a yes or no, no maybe
So just be sure before you give it all to me
All to me, give it all to meDark Horse: Katy Perry

"Down it!"
I swallowed the colorful shot in my hand, not even wincing anymore. My throat had adapted to the fire of the alcohol and now only accepted the fruity tang of the flavor.
Glancing around the crowded kitchen, I spotted Leila by the entrance, leaning against the wall while Pierce Bronson himself was pressed against her.
She had a seductive smile on her face, and I watched humorously as she reached up to pull his face down to her level.
That girl was like a prowling cheetah on sex drive sometimes.
"Still steady?"
The voice came from my right, and I turned my head to meet a pair of hunter green eyes.
"Of course. You can't drink and drive," I replied, a smile twitching on my lips. He knew what I meant.
"I haven't cracked yet, and by now, I don't think I will. How about that kiss now?" His eyes were dancing with laughter.
"Not a chance. Don't worry, I won't let you out of my sight for the rest of the night. You'll slip up."
His eyes flashed with something I couldn't name, before they were back to oozing their usual over confidence.
"We'll see."
I noticed Devon and Josh behind him, and smiled at them.
"Hey guys. Long time no see."
"We saw you today in science, Vivi."
My face fell and Diesel snickered.
"It sounded good when I thought it," was all I muttered.
"We're mostly here to see you drive D's Ducati, but we're partly here for the booze and girls," offhanded Devon, smiling in a way that told me he was joking.
"Ah, yes, an overabundance of the latter two things are here."
Diesel took a sip from a red cup that seemingly materialized in his hand.
"So, what shall we do first, good girl?"
Rolling my eyes at his nickname, I marched to the living room.

I was starting to get worried.
I thought Diesel would have a very hard and almost impossible time not cursing, but he hadn't slipped up once. Not even once.
He paused at certain times before he said anything, which was the only thing tipping me off that he was somewhat struggling.
But a word never came out.
Finally, after two hours at the party with Diesel not even coming close to saying anything, I decided to do something about it.
The thought of him kissing me....well, I wasn't sure what I felt about him kissing me. It was a mix of apprehension, disgust, and...excitement.
