Mark POV
The plans are set. I have to go through with this. No, I NEED to go through with this. Even though just the thought of it brings an ache to my heart, I have no choice.
What is that ache though? Is it... Sadness? Funny, I haven't felt that feeling in a while.
I set up my camera and take a deep breathe. It's time to call him.Sean POV
I was still a little confused from yesterday's chat with Mark.
That wasn't the first time I've seen him like that. I mean, the blood was new, but his eyes.
His eyes lately have been cold and unfeeling.. You can't see the smile and emotion in his eyes like you used to be able to.
He's also been acting very stiff, rigged. Is he hiding something?
"Sweetie!" I heard my sweet girlfriend call out to me.
"Yes?" I yell back.
"I have another late night tonight! I won't be back until around midnight!"
I sigh. She's been having late nights at work for the past month.. "Alright! Just.. Text me, ok?"
"Sure thing! Bye Hun!" And with that, I was alone with my thoughts again.
My girlfriend was acting strange as well. She's been.. Distant.
She's always hiding her phone and either staying out late, or sneaking out.
I know the biggest conclusion to all these facts, but I've never wanted to even think about that possibility.
But now that I'm alone, I might as well think about it a little.
What if, my girlfriend, was chea-
*ring* *ring*
I turn back towards my computer and see Skype ringing. It was Mark..
I quickly click video and throw on a fake smile. How could I smile for real after everything that's been happening...
"Top of the morning to ya Mark! What can I do for ya buddy?"
Mark smiled back, but there was that thing again. That cold unfeeling thing. His smile was almost... Sinister..
I quickly shake off the thought.
"Hey Jack! Guess what?!" And with that, the sinister smile disappeared, and he returned to the Mark I know and lo- like. The Mark I know and like.
"What?!" I say almost too enthusiastically. You can never be too enthusiastic when you're me.
"I'm visiting you in Ireland!"
My breathe stopped.
Mark.. Was coming to Ireland.
I kept saying that to myself in my head, but something wasn't right. Something felt off.
I shook off the thought, yet again.
"That's great buddy! When will you get here?"
"Tomorrow! I'm actually leaving tonight! Hey, can I ask for a favor..?"
Against my own better judgement, I replied with, "Anything!"
"Can I stay with you? It's already costing a lot to get to Ireland, and a hotel would completely drain me."
Say no, Sean. Say no say no say no sa- "Of coarse!" Dammit.
"Great! My taxi's here, so I better get going. I'll see you tomorrow!"
"Can't wait! See you Markimoo!"
Then the call ended.
I ran a hand through my hair as I tried to think.
Why was I so nervous about this? Mark was my best friend, I should be excited!
'Yeah,' I told myself, 'just be excited!'
I look at the clock. Sighing at how early it is. I'll tell my girlfriend when she gets home. I'm sure she won't mind since she's rarely home anyway...Mark POV
I chuckle as I lock my door and head for the taxi.
You better be ready for me, Jackieboy. Because I'm coming. And I. Won't. Stop.(A/n hey guys, so I was wondering if anyone knew the name of Jack's girlfriend. If not, I'll just put 'she' and have him call her pet names. So please comment if you do. Thanks)
