It had been a normal week for Sci; the migraines, bloody noses, and fevers were just a part of Sci's daily life. Then she showed up. She had said her name was Meg and Ini. Right off the bat, introducing yourself with two names screams insane. Even so, he let her into his apartment.

She was ecstatic and perhaps slightly panicked. She kept saying something about "life and death and then life again". He ignored her ramblings for the most part while he made her some tea. It started when she grabbed his hand. All of a sudden, Sci was catapulted out of a haziness he had not even known he was trapped in. His unwavering migraine disappeared into the now infinite expanse of his mind.

"You can see now!" the girl exclaimed. "Oh oh oh we need to find Sariu! Ra is at the house, oh gods why doesn't Eran ever tell me anything."

Sci's head was still swimming but he managed to grasp that Meg and Ini were talking about his brothers and sisters. He plopped down on his couch as she continued to ramble. Everything made sense, but didn't.

She snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Hello? Um... Sci? You all right? I thought you'd be way more excited after being able to see again."

"Meg and Ini. Sariu. Ra. Eran."

"Oh. Yep. Well, you could have easily just been repeating the names I said a second ago," she replied cheerfully. "You wouldn't happen to remember anyone else by chance, would you?"

Sci furrowed his brow. "Rieas, Leo, Itrius, Sur, Irigov, Cori, Espices."

Meg and Ini counted them off on her fingers. "Eleven. That's all of us."

"Why... why are we here," he said groggily.

"Oh c'mon," she said as she tapped his head lightly. "You know why."

Sci furrowed his brow once more. If he concentrated any harder, he might just have had an aneurysm. It was hard to focus when all of a sudden the world and life that you thought was real turned out to be a lie.

Meg and Ini waited silently for a full five minutes before she sighed and said, "Sorry bro. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do this, but I can't take chances anymore. Remember, this was for your own good."

Before Sci could figure out what she meant, he felt a prick in his bicep. He looked up just as everything started to fade. The last thing he saw was Meg and Ini's face looking down at him calmly.
