Rosalie & Emmett; Another Miracle

Crystal Blue Eyes

I stroke Emmalie's now long, sandy blonde curls. She sits on my knee and Emmett sits beside me. Kate and Garrett just had their appointment to see if the fertilisation had worked for Kate. Alice and Jasper Sit on the opposite couch to us.
"How did you go?" I ask her, with a warm smile. She squeezes Garrett's hand.
"Yeah. we're having a baby!" She exclaims.
"Congratulations!" Alice tells them. Emmalie turns towards me and she looks curious.
"I've never seen a baby." She whispers to me. She hasn't. She was the most recent Cullen and she hasn't really meet humans. She'll be meeting a baby soon. Her sister or brother. I'm already beginning to show. I have a small baby bump.
"You'll be meeting your new sister or brother soon." Says Emmett, as if he knew what I was thinking. Emmalie forms her ever-familiar pout on her face and knits her eyebrows together, upset. She looks down to my belly and frowns. She places her tiny hand on my small bump.
"What's wrong baby?" I pat her back. She looks up to me and meets my gaze. I look into her crystal blue eyes, just like her father's when he was human.
"Will you love the new baby more than me?" She mumbles, then rephrase's her sentence, "will I still be your baby?"
My un-beating heart sinks into my chest. I pull her into a tight hug and she stays there, laying on my chest.
"You will always be my baby." I reassure her, "I love you, Emmalie Lillian Cullen."
"I love you too, mummy." I hear a small laugh escape her lips. I look up to the rest of everyone in the room. Everyone is having their own little conversations, except Kate. She just watches Emmalie and I. She must have noticed me looking at her because she gives me an embarrassed, small smile. I smile back to her.
"Well, Rosalie do you want to come?" Says Alice, with a raised eyebrow.
"Uh-" what was Alice talking about?, "come where?"
Alice rolls her eyes playfully. I think I was supposed to be listening.
"We're going shopping for Nessie's party supplies." She utters. I drop my gaze to the floor.
"Jasper and I will go hunting." Says Emmett. I nod towards him, agreeing. He should go hunt.
"Sure. I'll go shopping." Is all I manage to say. Emmalie places both of her small hands on each of my cheek and pulls my face up so that I'm looking at her. I lock eyes with her.
"Can I come?" She smiles.
"Yes. Of course you can." I reply.
"Well, let's get going then." Says Alice. Emmalie jumps off of my lap and stands on the floor. I peck Emmett on the cheek good bye then I stand up beside Emmalie. She's only up to my waist in height. She's growing so fast. I hate it. I want her to stay little forever. We hold hands as we follow Alice out to the car.
"Who's car do you want to take?" I ask Alice as we enter the garage. She turns to me and gives me a look, as if is obvious. She turns towards the keys and takes her car keys off of the rack.
"My Porsche 911 turbo."
I chuckle. She loves her car. We walk over to her car, which is a few steps away.
"You sit in the car, Rose. I'll put Emmalie in the back." Says Alice.
"Thanks." I simply say. I speed to the passenger seat and sit. Alice picks Emmalie up and places her in the car. Emmalie puts her seatbelt on by herself. She notices that I'm not wearing my seat belt.
"What about your seatbelt Ma?" Emmalie says with her innocent tone. I look at her in awe. The way she cares for others is cute.
"I don't need one." I let a small giggle escape my lips. She gives me a look of confusion.
"I'll explain while we drive."
Alice starts the car and speeds out of the garage, down the drive way onto the highway. I haven't explained to Emmalie that she is half-human, half-vampire. She has an idea, but doesn't understand.
"So mummy, why don't you need a seatbelt and I do?" She asks from the back seat, reminding us.
I turn to Alice, a little nervous.
"Well- uh..." I choke a little and try and gather my words, "Do you know what Humans are?"
"Yeah. Daddy told me."
"Well, you are half me and half daddy, that's what created you. I'll explain that a little more when you're older. Daddy was a vampire and I, well I was still a vampire but how I created you was my human part."
I turn around to look at her face, see if she's upset or worried. She looks fine.
"Oh. That's cool." She smiles. I smile back.
"So you're not fully vampire like mummy and daddy. You're like Nessie, half-vampire and half-human." I say.
I watch Emmalie's face change from fine to a little upset. It breaks my heart watching her heart break.
"Do you still love me? Even though I'm different to you and daddy." She pouts.
"Emmalie Lillian Cullen, I will love you till the day I die and even after that." I utter. It's true, every bit of it. She is my mini me and my best friend. She became my whole world the moment she was born.
"I love you mummy." She giggles. I giggle along with her. I turn back to face the front and watch the trees fly past the car.
"You guys are cute." Chuckles Alice in awe. I just smile. I am so happy to be blessed with a beautiful baby girl and a new baby. Another addition to my world. I'm going to have to explain the same thing to the new baby. I sink into the car seat and relax. I listen to the fast heart beat of my new tiny baby. I remember listing to Emmalie's heart beat. The sound is beautiful.
"Alice, do you want children?" I ask her, curiously. Last time I asked her was when Emmalie was a newborn. It's been a while since then and I'm wondering if she's changed her mind.
"Um. I don't know. Not right now, but maybe." She replies.
She gave me a different answer from last time. I can imagine Alice being a mother. The child would be spoilt in a good way and so loved.
