Chapter 7: Monster

P.O.V. Roman

I just stared at [Name] for the longest time waiting for him to make the first move. Guess I really should have known better the two we've been fighting have already proven that they aren't the smart type.

The blonde dashed forward with his sword in hand and went to cut off his head. This proved to be a mistake as all it really accomplished was getting his weapon shattered.

[Name] just stood there and waited for the blade to connect when it did he slowly reached up grabbed the sword and easily broke it.

If the male had been paying attention he would have noticed that [Name]'s tail had made its way behind him. Weather he noticed or not was irrelevant he grabbed the male by the leg and brought his face close to his.

[Name] then managed to look even more pissed than he already was if that's even possible. He then used his tail to start repeatedly slamming the male into the ground.

It was at this time I finally came to my senses and saw that the other male was making his way over to Neo. I was going to run and cut him off however I suddenly saw [Name] appear in front of him.

He still held the other male with his tail although it looked at if he had been nocked out. [Name] then gripped the male by the throat and began to squeeze. I had thought he was going to snap his neck but instead he threw the male into the air.

I then watched as [Name] placed the male that had been nocked out on the ground and used his foot to easily crush the males head. After he did this I began to see lines of energy making their way to [Name].

They all then started to gather in his fist and I looked around for where the energy was coming from and saw it was slipping out between the cracks in the crates. I don't believe it. He's draining the energy from the dust.

I then heard the male that had been launched into the air start to come back down. I then watched as [Name] slammed his fist into the male face launching him across the field in the process.

[Name] then walked over to him and started to once again gather the energy from the dust. He then slammed his fist into the males gut then he once again raised his fist and began to gather energy.

He repeated this process several times. However the last punch wasn't aimed at his gut like the others were it was aimed at his legs. I now realized he wasn't trying to kill them. He was just making them suffer.

As soon as [Name] had shattered the males legs he grabbed the male by his hair and raised him up then I saw him take a deep breath before exhaling a large amount of black flames. He then tossed the male down as his body began to burn.

However he then did something that utterly terrified me. He looked straight at me and smiled. He then began to walk over to me and I in my panicked state raised my cane at him and fired a few rounds.

My bullets seemed to have no effect on him. He was right in front of me before he stopped. However what happened next probably saved my life. Neo coughed just a bit.

When this happened he then walked over to her and sat down beside her. I tried to walk over to them however when I did he glared at me. I got nervous and took a step back.

He then averted his gaze back to Neo and looked at her. I tried to think of what he was doing then it hit me. He's still not in control so he's doing based on what his instinct tells him to.

He's protecting her making sure that nothing even has the chance to get close to her. Even in this state when he's willing to attack everyone and even go as far as to kill his own family he's still trying to protect her.

P.O.V. Neo

I slowly opened my eyes and saw [Name] staring at me. He looked different than what I remembered. Guess this is the third stage that Roman told me about. He said if [Name] ever got to this point I should run.

I reached up to his face I expected him to attack me any moment now but he didn't he just let me touch his face. "[Name] even of you don't remember me and want to kill me right now I just want you to know that I still love you." I said looking at him.

He didn't respond but I understood what he was trying to say for the main reason that tears started to fall from his eyes. I smiled when I saw this he may not have been normal at the moment but he was still my [Name].

However he then did something I hadn't expected he started to gather energy in his hand it started out black but then turned into a light pink color.

He then placed his hand on me and all my pain suddenly stopped. When this happened I sat up and looked at him. I then leaned forward and hugged him. "I love you [Name]." I said looking at him.

I then felt his arms wrap around me and felt some aura return to where he was. "I love you too Neo." I then looked at [Name] and saw that [Name] was back to normal.
