Chapter 15: Finished

P.O.V. [Name] 

"Well then, let's get straight to the point shall we," Cinder said with a smile as she looked at us. Without hesitation I dashed forward activating the first stage of my semblance trying to attack her. As I did she skillfully avoided my attack leaving behind some slight flaming trails as she did. She was a lot faster than I had been expecting her to be especially since I hadn't seen her move this fast before. This new semblance of hers really is amazing. 

She then raised her had with some fire gathering in it, and it looked to be condensing. I jumped back seeing this and she swung her hand down. It seemed like for a moment I wasn't going to avoid the attack. However lucky for me I wasn't alone as the handle of Adam's sword hit Cinder in the face causing her to miss, and Neo came behind it shortly afterword kicking her in the ribs sending her away from me. 

"Careful," I said as I looked at Neo, all this moving around and stress can't be good for our unborn child. She nodded hearing this and Adam ran up to us grabbing his sword and continuing to run towards Cinder. As he did I followed behind him, and tried to stay behind until he got close and began attacking her. When he did she used her flames to summon two swords and block his attacks. 

I went to punch her seeing this but she managed to stop it using the side of her blade and jumping up to kick me sending me back. When she did Neo once again ran forward however something seemed a bit different about this Neo and turned to see that Neo was still standing a bit away from us. Now understanding this was just an illusion I ran forward ready to attack with her. While she was able to hold us off fairly well it seemed like she wasn't able to handle both of us. 

I managed to punch her in the face and while she was trying to regain her composure Neo jumped up and kicked the side of her head sending her away. Before she landed Adam once again shot his sword forward to hit her. She managed to stop it in mid-air sending it up slightly. However it seemed like Adam had planed for this and jumped up to kick the handle of his sword once again sending it towards her. 

She wasn't prepared for it this time and moved her head to the side narrowly avoiding the attack and leaving behind a small cut on her neck. I dashed forward in her distracted state and managed to land a powerful blow in her stomach sending her into a wall. When I did a large gust of wind blew the dust away and electricity began to strike around her with some fire appearing in her hands. Was Cinder always this strong? 

I watched as several small pieces of rocks that had been from the debris started floating around her turning into small sharp shards and sending them at us. I watched as Adam began to deflect all the tiny projectiles before once again sheathing his blade. When he did I remembered what his semblance was and smiled coming up with a plan. I waited for Adam to once again rush forward and I followed behind him. 

We both began to attack her in unison and she seemed to be doing fairly well until she jumped up with me narrowly avoiding punching Adam in the face. We both jumped when she did and she swiped her hands sending a large gust of wind towards us and sending us back to the ground. When we landed we looked up and I saw her coming towards us with fire that was cloaked in electricity. We both jumped back narrowly avoiding the attack before Neo's illusion once again joined in. 

All three of us began to attack in unison however as I did I purposely missed Cinder several times trying to alert Adam of my plan. However after my one of my punches had missed his sword he seemed to understand what I was trying to do and smiled as we all continued to attack. However it seemed as if our assault had finally come to an end with Cinder grabbing Neo's illusion by the arms and jumping up to knee her in the face shattering her illusion. 

Seeing my chance I pulled back ready to deliver a full powered punch however she jumped back and just as I planned my attack came into contact with Adam's blade sending him sliding across the room. Cinder smiled seeing this and turned to me however it seemed like she could feel Adam beginning to stand up with the red parts of his outfit now beginning to glow. It didn't take her long to figure out our plan and using her distracted state to our advantage I kicked her in the side as hard as I could letting out a loud crack as she was sent towards Adam. 

I watched as he grabbed his blade and I immediately leaned down to the floor as he used his semblance to slice through Cinder. The attack was so quick and sudden that the impact hadn't been visible until a few moments later when her body split in half. As her body fell to the ground she glowed for a slight moment before took one last breath and stopped moving. I sighed seeing this and walked over to Neo. 

She smiled seeing this and she took my hands in hers. "It's over," I said as I pressed my forehead to hers. We stayed like this for several minutes and I could feel Adam staring at us awkwardly. At the moment I didn't care who saw us or how stupid we looked. We had killed Cinder, and both of us were still alive. That's more than enough for me.
