Chapter Seven

I raised my eyebrows and stared at Wolf and back at Alex as if to say, Well this is Awkward.

Well I guess it's not that big of a deal. I only saw him on an exploding roof,

But still...

But of course, roof boy only gave a casual 'hello' and then looked back down at his food. No: "Oh hey! your that girl I saw while standing on an exploding roof until I mysteriously disapeared. What a coincedence.

I decided it would make things awkward to mentioned it so I just kept eating.

Finally, after a few momoents of silence, Wolf speaks. "So who's dueling tonight?"

Alex responded to his brother. "Amber Jameson and Cece Hills. Elementists."

I frowned. "Dueling?"

"Every night we have two people of the same group that go up against each other to win values; which is our currency. There's bronze, silver and gold," Alex said. "You can use them to buy armor, weapons, clothes, etc. there's ten bronze to a silver and twenty silver to a gold. You get them depending on how good of a preformence you gave. And they go by certain requirments like skill, defense, so yeah you'll see when get there. It's at 8:00, you should go."

I nodded. "Maybe I will."

As I said that, a man walked up to a glass podium at the front of the room with a microphone. Every body turned around as he gained everyone's attention.

"Alright," the man said. "I want to remind you all of the spring formal next week. Be there at 6:00. That's all for now." The man stepped away from the podium and everyone started getting out of there seats.

I got out of my chair and brushed a lock of hair behind my ear."Who's that?"

"Chamberlin," Autumn answered. "Ed the head master.

I nodded and walked next to Autumn following the rest of the crowd. She seemed to be pretty far away from her sister and her friends. "So, what next?"

Autumn looked at a thin bracelet on her wrist and pressed a few buttons. "Well, next we go to our dorms for about... Fourtyish minutes and then we head and then we go to the arena for the duel!"

I muttered a small 'okay' as we walk into our room. Sure enough, Rosie, Adeline and Esme were sitting in a circle talking. Right as we shut the door, the three of them snapped there heads around towards us in complete sink as if it was planned. Rosie stood up and put her best fake smile on her face. "Hey girls, Autumn, Charley, how's it been?"

I was about to reply until Esme stood up and grinned. "Hey guys, wanna join in?"

I avoided Rosie's glare at Esme and went ahead and said, "sure, why not. "

Rosie sighed and stepped back into the circle with Autumn and I following.

"Okay next one... Jake Warrington," Adeline said. I raised an eyebrow unsure on where this is going.

"He's alright." Esme shrugged her shoulders. "Hair and eyes I give a six and seven, but smile? Three.

"Agreed," Rosie said seriously. "But his fighting... Five and a half. Not an Alex Lucifer fighter."

I leaned in and whispered to Autumns ear, "is this a typical conversation subject?" She nodded and sighed. She leaned her head towards the door and I knew what she meant.

I was about to get up when I heard Adeline continue. "What about Wolf Lucifer?"

"Ew, no. I hate him. He's so ugly and he can't hold a sword correctly," Rosie said. I could say that sort of shocked me. I would think he would be really good... Guess not.

"So how do you handle living with them?" I asked as we walk across the courtyard eating Airheads Extremes.

Autumn shrugged. "You get used to it."

"Are you like them at all?"

Autumn stopped and thought for a moment. "Kind of, I mean I don't spend my free time rating guys but... It's hard to explain."

I nodded and we continued walking around. "Shouldn't we head back to the room?"

She looked at the bracelet like she had earlier. Must be some kind of high tech watch. "Actually it's time to see the duel. Come on."

Wow. I updating a chapter of this and IH on the same day!

And like I said in the AN on IH, I want feedback! I don't get a lot of comments I want to know how you like it so far. And don't worry, I won't get mad at you if you say it's terrible. Just be honest(:

Summer break is going soooooo fast! I can't believe it's already July! Pretty soon it will be the first day back to the prison known as school... (Sigh)
