It was 10:50 am on September 1st and I was in London King Cross Station taking my usual train to work. I had always seen kids on this day walking to their trains with owls and other odd things on their carts. Ever since I could remember I made up stories about why the kids had such odd things and where they might be going. I had always thought they were going to a magic school. Obviously magic was fake. But I would always see this man all clad in black, he had black hair that landed just above the shoulder. I thought he was the person that taut them magic. Me and my big imagination.

I got so caught up in my thoughts that I barely noticed the man that bumped into me. I turned around to see that man I was talking about and gave him a light smile but he stayed expressionless and stared me down with his big black eyes. “Sorry, miss,” he said still expressionless and began walking on. I wished I could’ve gotten the courage to ask him where he came from but I didn't say a word. I continued on a few feet behind him my heels clicking as I walked. I didn’t notice him turn around till I actually rammed right into his chest.

“Are you following me?” the man barked.

“No, sir I am not at all I am just walking to my platform as are you,” I said blushing a bit.

His eyebrow spiked up then he turned and kept walking.

We walked on and then he stopped again but this time I didn’t walk into him.

“What now?” I sighed.

“Your heels are annoying,” he said crossing his arms over his chest.

I squinted my eyes at him. “Funny how you turn for every little thing, are you flirting with me or something?” I said begging to feel  annoyed.

“I am most certainly not, Miss Lamprey!” he scolded as if he were my teacher.

I cocked my head in confusion. “How do you know my name?”

He made a groaning noise and started to run I ran after him but he disappeared. How odd he knows my name and then disappears into thin air.

“Ok then,” I said getting on the train and leaving for work
