The Dance

My mind was made up, I was going to stick by D'Ron's side through thick and thin, no matter what happened. He is the only boy I'd wait for or be involved with in this situation. The only one.

It was the end of September and it was time for football games. I had seen D'Ron at one before. He hugged me. Long, hard and tight. And told me to meet him on 53rd after. I waited but he never came.

Tonight me, Leigh and Myesha was going to the biggest football game of the year. Overtown Park South High vs. Overtown Park North High. It was was going to be liveee! Plus Myesha Bestfriends Genna and Charlotte was gone meet us there and they knew everybody in Overtown Park.

That night I had on a navy blue and red plaid crop top, dark wash skinnes, red converse and my hair was pulled into a low loose side pony tail. I looked pretty good, but I looked older than 13. Not my fault.

We sat down. Rell, Boss, Tyra, China, Marie and countless other people where in our section. Awkward but I didn't care, we was just there to have a good time.

I seen a group of boys down below. As I scanned them I seem D'Ron. "Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit. He's here!" I thought to myself. My mind told me he was going to be on other females, but my mind also told me that I really didn't give two flying fuckss.

We kicked it at the game! No problems besides Myesha one friend breaking up with her boyfriend. Other than that I really enjoyed myself.

It was now time to go and me Myesha and Leigh was walking out to the front of the school. There was D'Ron.

Surprisingly I hadn't seen him with my own two on a female but that doesn't mean that he wasn't. He was walking over to me.

Perfect timing. We was walking towards him, Tyrell and some other dudes too. "Hey." He said pulling me into a long tight hug. As he hugged me my head sat right above his collar bone. Same smell that I grew to love. I was getting used to these moments.

"Wassup?" I said as we pulled away. "Nothing. What you doing here girl?" "Same as you. But I'm Myesha asked me to come with her." I said. Which she did. "Aw. Why you play me last time?" "I was out there! But you never came." "Yes I did but whatever. You better be out tonight." "I will. You just better be out." "I got you." Then he walked away.

"What was that all about!?" Mysha's Bestfriend Genna asked. "Girl D'Ron and Monica talk." Myesha said "Girl you got a older one huh?" Genna joked. I nodded my head.

My mama was taking forever to come. I had seen D'Ron again but he didn't see me. (A/n Ty'Ron is Tyra and Tyrell big brother. I don't think I've introduced him yet) Tyra, Tyrell, and Ty'Ron's mama picked those three up plus D'Ron and like three other kids all in her little two door car. Me and Myesha looked at each other like tf? Clowns.

Huh! My mama still wasn't there. We kept waiting in the cold. But oh boy Myesha know was cracking us the hell up. Talking about "I'm broke. I'll dance fa a dolla. Pop lock, Ricky bobby , south Dallas swag, I'll do it all!" Funny shit I tell you.

Finally my mama came. We said bye to this chick Anne. (A/n remember her she comes up later!) and went on our way.

I got home and expected D'Ron to already be there, but he wasn't. Myesha had got tired and went in and I followed. I showered and stuff and stayed looking out the window. He never came. It didn't matter if I had showered, or if my mama didn't want me outside. I was going to see D'Ron no matter what. Like I said only for him will I wait forever for.

It was still the end of September. I had to be at the St. Anne's for Girl Scouts. Yes I was a 13 year old Girl Scout but they went and did a lot of things and for free so hell yeah I was a Girl Scout.
