Third Person's POV

"Haaaaaa!" Tsume races across the ground, incredibly fast, with Kuromaru right behind her. She shoves her fist forward, aiming towards Akari. "Take this!"

As the Jonin throws her arm, she freezes with a bewildered look, her arm stretched out. Kuromaru skids himself to a halt, confused as well. The brunette frantically looks side to side with wide eyes.

"Wha- where did sh-" Tsume freezes for one second before she suddenly yelps, wrenching to the side by a surprising kick. Tsume grits her teeth as the kick sends her flying back, the grass brushing brutally on her back after she lands and stops beside her hound's side.

"Tsume! Are you all right?! Tsume!" Kuromaru shouts for his partner in worry, before he shoots a nasty glare over to the crimson-haired girl.

Groaning from the stinging on her cheek, Tsume pushes her upper body with so much strain as she tries to sit up. She scrunches one eye and growls, growing mad at the girl's cheap sneak attack. Tsume knows that she didn't pick up any scent, but the problem was why didn't she sense anything. Tsume presses her teeth together and claws the grass underneath her fingers. There's no way that Tsume could've missed the girl's scent because she should've sensed it right away.

The Hokage watches the competitors with interest in his eyes, intrigued by the girl's first move. He has to admit, he didn't catch anything at all. He just saw the girl vanish into thin and come back in a flash. Her speed is phenomenal and her combat is impressive. This fight might be a lot more exciting than he thought, especially because he's watching a member from a well-known clan he believed that was..., but who knows now?

Tsume winces as she stands on her feet, breathing a bit heavily from the nasty blow on her face. She narrows her eyes at the still girl.

Who is this girl? And how did she disappear and reappear like that? Tsume's asks herself, feeling frustrated all of a sudden. Looks like I underestimated her. Can't really judge a book by its cover.

Tsume snorts her saliva and spits it out, before looking back at the girl who's raising her brow at the weird woman. Akari sighs.

"What's the matter?" She calls out. "I thought you said I was going to eat my own words. Watching you at this state is making me want to doubt that I won't be chewing on anything."

"Heh," Tsume chuckles once as she forms a wide smirk. "Oh don't worry. I'm not finished yet. And by the way, not bad, kid. I was pretty sure I was going to make the first blow, but I guess you beat me to it."

"That is my goal at the moment," Akari says. "I advise you to take me more seriously once we come head to head again. I would like to make a better impression to your Hokage after I'm finished with this task."

"Hahaha! You really think it's that easy?" Tsume scoffs with a mocking laugh. "Sorry kid, but it's gonna take a lot more than just one blow to finish me off, for a cocky kid like you."

"I would say the same thing to you." Tsume grimaces at the comeback.

"What was that?!" Tsume arches her brows to a dark look.

"But, if defeating you is the only choice I have to pass this task, then I won't be holding back. No matter who you are."

Tsume blinks as her grueling stare vanishes. She then forms a grin. "Is that so? Well, if that's the case, I've got one question for ya? Can you keep up with me?" Akari furrows her brows.

"Why don't you find out for yourself?" She asks her lowly. "If that's what you're interested in."

Tsume broadens her grin to a sly smirk, intrigued. "All right. Kuromaru, you ready?" Tsume's partner nods in answer. "Then let's finish this."
