The picture is too cute, I needed to post it for everyone to have the feels ;')

Third Person's POV

Kakashi and Zabuza both gape at Haku, who is standing in between them, nearly lifeless due to Kakashi's Lightning Blade piercing Haku's chest. As the lightning slowly dims, Haku coughs a chunk of blood out of his mouth. He shoots a pained glare at Kakashi. He then grasps his wrist and clutched it in agony.

"Za...bu...za..." Haku trails off, struggling to withstand the anguishing pain in his chest. Kakashi gasps at the young boy, surprised that he's still alive after being stabbed in the chest by one of his strongest techniques.

Zabuza grins maliciously behind his bandages. "So, my time's all used up, huh? Wrong again, Kakashi."

"Is that the boy... with the mask..?" Tazuna asks, bewildered. Sakura nods in answer, shocked as he is.

He saved him, by jumping in front of Kakashi-sensei's attack, Akari watched her instructor trying to pull his arm away from the nearly-deceased boy. Is that how devoted he is? He's willing to throw his life away for a man like him?  This is a really bad mess.

Chuckling, Zabuza looks down on his student. "Well done, Haku."

Kakashi leers at the cold-blooded man. Zabuza doesn't consider shedding a tear for his selfless student, but instead, he grabs the hilt of his large, guillotine sword and intends to attack Kakashi, along with Haku.

"Kakashi-sensei, watch out!" Sakura yells in alarm.

Kakashi widens his eye. He's willing to hack through this boy, just to take me down?

"I knew I had a treasure when I found you boy!" Zabuza raises his sword above his head. Kakashi attempts to tug his hand out of the boy's chest, but Haku's grasp is too tight for anyone to flee. "Not only did you give me my life, but Kakashi's as well!"

Akari balls her fists as her gloves screech. After saving his life, he still sees him as a tool!

Zabuza swings his sword down to slice both men, but Kakashi embraces Haku's body and evades the attack by leaping in the air. They somersault several times, before Kakashi lands on one knee, far enough from the ruthless assassin. Haku's body hangs in Kakashi's arms, limp as a rag doll.

"Hmph, not bad for carrying a burden of a corpse with you," Zabuza smirks darkly.

"You'll pay for that!" Akari wrenches her head to that familiar yell. She hasn't noticed him standing so close to them. How long was Naruto there? Did he watch what happened?

"No Naruto! Stay out of this!" Kakashi commands his enraged student. He carefully lowers Haku's body on the ground and closes the young boy's eyes to a peaceful slumber. "This is my battle, I'll handle Zabuza."

Sakura recalls her teammate's loud voice, before she waves in the air to call for him. "Hey, Naruto!"

Naruto jolts by that call. He finds Sakura standing with his other female teammate, and the old bridge-builder. He releases a long sigh solemnly, unsure on how to explain the worst news about his rival, teammate, and friend.

"Are you guys all right? You and Sasuke?" She asks. Naruto turns his head away. "What's wrong? Where is Sasuke anyway?" She notices Naruto cringing as he squeezes his eyes shut. "No..."

"..!" Akari presses her lips together, understanding Naruto's frustrated posture.

"Sakura..." Kakashi says, watching his student from afar.
