Chapter 7

Jade's POV~

The next morning I was woken up by what you could call a "wonderful" surprise. There I was sleeping peacefully when a loud bang and shout woke me up.

Slamming my door open, there was Wataru standing in the doorway looking at me. "Good morning~," he announced," It's time wake up and start the day!" a smile plastered on his face.

I groaned and glared at my intruder for I was not a morning person. Checking my clock, I read 7:30 a.m.,"Why did you have to wake me up so early?! I don't have any reason to wake up now." I practically screamed.

This caused a my new roommates to flock to my room wondering what was going on.

"Wataru," Masaomi scolded," It isn't polite to wake someone up without their permission. Apologize to Jade now."

"I'm sorry," he walked closer to my bed.

I let out a sigh, " It's fine." I stuffed my face back into my pillow.

By now almost all of my cousins had already left the commotion and continued on their morning routines.

"Breakfast will be ready soon, come down when you're ready," Ukyo informed me and the remaining cousins left.

Groaning, I pulled my carcass out of bed and made my way to the bathroom.

Time Skip~

After throwing on another one of my million sweaters, skinny jeans, and tossing my hair into a ponytail, I trudged my lifeless body through the condo towards the kitchen. Entering the kitchen I bypassed Ukyo and everything else looking for my energy source- hot chocolate.

Wondering what I was looking for, Ukyo asked," Are you looking for coffee? I already brewed some. It's over there."

"Nope. I absolutely hate bitter things. Sweet things are more my style, "I responded still searching,"Do you have hot chocolate?"

"It's over there. I'll bring some to you. Go sit down, you look tired."

Agreeing with him I sat down waiting patiently like a child. When he finally set the cup down, I grabbed it immediately; craving the for the sweet liquid.

Another Time Skip~

After breakfast with everyone Yusuke offered to take my shopping and I gladly accepted remembering my plain room. Since I just moved yesterday he promised to show me the best shops.

As we walked the streets of Tokyo bags in both of our hands, Yusuke told me a lot about Ema and how she adapted to her brothers.

"The wedding must had been fun with so many people," I said imagining it, "But poor Ema, in a single day she gained 13 brothers after being an only child for so long."

"You could say she met some roadblocks," Yusuke said blushing.

"What kind?" I asked tilting my head, curious.

Blushing even harder now Yusuke replied," Nothing important."

Yusuke's POV~

Good thing she didn't ask even more questions. If she found out that we all like Ema she would freak out. That's not a normal thing. It is embarrassing to- my thoughts were cut off by Jade pulling me through a crowd of people towards a fountain.

Sitting by himself was a boy no older than 6 sitting by himself looking like he was about to burst into tears. Jade suddenly sat next to the boy, took her glasses off, let her hair down, and started to sing.

The melody started soft but eventually grew louder until a crowd of people formed around us. I spotted Subaru and Natsume in the forming crowd. Walking towards each other we kept our eyes glued to Jade along with everyone else.

Natsume's POV~

A few minutes earlier~

"We need to take these back to the condo," I said turning a corner.

"Eh? You're coming to the condo?" Subaru asked surprise.

"Yeah, I forgot something there yester-" I stopped talking and closed my eyes. A soft melody floated to my ears and I was drawn to it. Apparently Subaru heard it too and we made our way closer to the source.

When we reached the source, my eyes widened. There, surrounded by people was Jade singing to a little boy, and by her side was Yusuke obviously starstruck. Her voice echoed around the fountain. The wind gently played with her hair and rays of sunlight lit up her face. She looked gorgeous. She didn't look human.

Looking over at my brothers, I saw pink paint their faces thinking what I just thought.

As the song ended, she tied her hair up and returned her glasses to their origonal spot. She opened her eyes and found herself in the middle of a crowd. Her face immediately grew red as she received praise. A women walked forward and hugged the small boy saying how scared she was that he was lost. Thanking Jade, she and her son walked away waving. By then the crowd had dispersed and she noticed Subaru and me.

Subaru POV~

That gave me chills. What kind of voice does she have? Did she take lessons? I thought.

"Subaru, Natsume what are you doing here?" she asked us.

"We were just on our way back to the condo before we saw you," Natsume answered.

"We were on our way back too," Yusuke said holding handfuls of bags.

"Then let's head back together," Jade said and started to walk away.

"Do you want me to take those?" I offered gaining courage.

She smiled the sweetest smile and replied," That would be wonderful," as she handed me her bags."

I felt my face grow hot so I rushed up ahead of the rest trying to calm my heart.
