I woke up  feeling better than usual. I didn't bother making my bed because my motto was I would just wreck it again later in the day anyways. The news that morning was insane. Tons of civilians were missing and went poof right in thin air and you could guess all the victims had gone near the vampire club in London. I weighed the odds of me going poof too and decided I would do more research before going in there half ass like before. Les tat had a mysterious and dark past obviously because in all of his song lyrics there were hidden meanings, I just couldn't find out what they were exactly. The only message I had gotten from one of his songs was that a human was turning into a vampire. Honestly I was becoming obsessed with Les tat, for reasons I didn't fully understand yet. I mean I was having nightmares about him and then suddenly this new dark ancient character comes out of nowhere and hisses at me like a damn cat.

There was the sound of a vehicle stopping in my driveway. I got up and peeked through the shades, just making sure there wasn't any vampires planning an attack. Which was pretty goofy but that Egyptian bitch was out to get me and probably other vampires. Then i thought (What hell would Cleopatra be doing driving a car) I was really losing it. It was only the mail man. He walked up carrying a fat envelope and rung my door bell. I ran and opened the door excited. (Oh boy someone had mailed me something!.... Hope it wasn't blackmail) I thought.

"Hi your Miss Cheri Lecleres?" The mail guy asked. He was short and chubby and had a lazy eye but looked like a good person.

"Yeah, I am!" I shrieked.

"Oh..... good." He answered giving me a weird look. "I'll just have you sign this."

I signed the paper and took the big envelope and went back inside.

I ripped the envelope open and I was so in shock that my smile froze like an insane person.

"Huh...." I said raising my lip upwards.

It was a CD.... The vampire Les tats CD. I raised an eyebrow a little confused and felt around in the envelope and pulled out another small plastic bag from inside it. I opened it and pulled out a journal. It smelled and looked very old. Like perhaps like a few centuries worth of old. It was made of what felt like old leather and the pages were riffled. I lifted the cover and the date said 1792. My jaw dropped and i started reading.

September 16th, 1792.

(Its been a year since I changed Louis into a vampire. He longs for his human life again, regrets what I gave him. He still has his mortal feelings. So poor Louie, feasts on rats, and rodents in the sewer ways of the New Orleans. He should be grateful I gave him a new life and for god sakes, we still live on his plantation. The slaves know that I the stranger, am a pale demon. They sing every night and its distasteful; it rather gets on my nerves, but i will stay here for the riches and the aristocratic blood excites me the most.)

September 22nd 1792.

(Another day goes by, Louis complains of how I'm the Devil. Says I have no respect for life what so ever. Perhaps he is correct, He believes I'm destined to walk for eternity alone. My Dearest Louis Perhaps you're destined to live through this dark gift I gave you in hatred and longing to die. Perhaps you will never get over the fact you're a killer and will live forever just as alone. As I am damned, so are you)

I looked up from the page not knowing what to think exactly. This journal didn't date back to ancient  times or even close but gave me some insight on his past. All the pages talked about this Louis figure. He seemed like a suicidal vampire and somehow still like a dark angel. I turned back and forth from page to page until something caught my eye. The last few pages looked like they had been ripped out. That was odd. Had Les tat wanted no one to read them? Or someone else didn't like what he had written in there?

I closed The journal and bit my lip organizing the information in my brain trying to figure out if maybe i could find this Louis man and he could tell me what I needed to know. I read the envelope and there was no return address. (Was it Les tat? Why did he or who ever it was put Les tats CD in there and send me his journal?) It left a sticky question, and creeped me out quite a bit. I thought and thought, then realized at my school there was a professor who might be able to help me out. I would have to wait till the next day, because no one would be there obviously. I took a deep breath and continued re-reading Lestats journal.
