"You missed your class Miss Lecleres." Mr. Talbot said annoyed as I entered his office.

I bit my lip then answered ashamed “I know sir, something came up. It was important."

He looked up from the stack of papers he was grading "Miss Lescleres I’ve noticed you've been slacking on your homework and in class you never raise your hand anymore. I’m concerned."

"Mr. Talbot It’s not what you think. I’ve... been experiencing some difficulties...."

"Such as?" He raised his eyebrows inpatient

I sighed frowning "Sir, I’ve been having these nightmares of the vampire Lestat and well I met him twice in the last few days."

Mr. Talbot stared at me blankly then answered "What?"

"Yes I know how crazy that sounds sir, but it’s true! He spared me and someone mailed me his journal and there was no return address."

A terrified expression flooded his face "Oh my dear god...."

 "What?"

"Cheri what else was in your nightmares..."

"This woman. She was an ancient and looked like she was a queen from Egypt. She’s threatened by me and said Lestat was hers."

He rubbed his forehead stressed and took a drink from his water bottle. "Miss you didn’t see just any Egyptian queen... You've seen the Queen of the Damned."

Chills ran through me and goose bumps covered my arms. "Queen of whom..?"

"The mother of all vampires. She wants Lestat to be hers. She murdered the old own king."

" How do you know so much about this?" I asked nervously.

"Let’s just say I’ve done my research on this kind of thing Miss Lescleres... and you're in grave danger."

I nodded thinking (Ya, I think I already knew that jackass)

"I think... I think you’re the prophet." He stammered.

  "The whatta?"

  "The prophet." He repeated.

"So what does that mean exactly?" I looked around the room totally lost.

"It means you can see the past and future in visions or have dreams of something important coming."

"So... you’re telling me that I’m some kind of Psychic freak... great how does you knows this again?" I gave him a weirded outlook.

Mr. Talbot sighed and had a look of lost thinking. Then answered softly. "I interviewed a vampire in the 70s. At first I of coarse didn’t believe in such nonsense... That’s until the vampire told me his story and proved what he was."
