Samantha smirked as she sat, her hands cuffed to the metal table in front of her. Everything around her was grey, grey walls, floor; it was all so... monotonous. She was going to cooperate as best she could, after all this was the F.B.I. and S.H.I.E.L.D. It was all a big mistake or, at least, that was what the more naive side of her thought. The more cynical side of her believed something more sinister was afoot. She hadn't actually done anything wrong - that she knew of anyway. "So what is it I'm in for? Your men didn't tell me when they dragged me in here," she spat bitterly, her swelling cheek throbbing and aching. She glared at the tall, lanky man in front of her as he smiled, his eyes reveling in a cruel taunt.

"Well," he began in his English accent, extending the vowel sound far longer than necessary "You and your friend Miss Maximoff blew up a bank," He was older than her by at least ten years and he had sandy brown hair combed over to the left. She didn't trust him one bit.

She laughed "That's preposterous," she answered and he looked at her as though she'd done or said something wrong. Like he'd wanted her to admit to the crime she hadn't committed.

"Take me through the past few hours then," he ordered and, for some inexplicable reason, she felt compelled to tell him everything.

She sat down at her dresser as she put her earrings in her ears. They were only Cubic Zirconia drops but she loved them. They were an early Christmas present from Steve so of course they were her favourite pair of the moment. Music blared from her wireless speakers as she bobbed her head along to the beat of All I Want For Christmas Is You off of her Christmas playlist. She smiled softly as Steve walked in "There's my gorgeous fiance," he said and she turned to face him "Now does she have a song picked out for tonight?" he mused as though narrating their life story as he pulled her up from her stool.

"Hold on, a song? What is this some kind of musical? And what does it have to do with your alibi?" the agent queried angrily, slamming his hands on the table.

"Oh I'm sorry but you were the one who wanted me to tell you what I've done over the past few hours. You didn't specify how detailed you wanted my account to be," she informed him, eyebrows raised in perfectly manicured arcs, before continuing her tale.

"I have a few in mind," she answered, biting her lip slightly as he put his hand on her waist "We should go," she murmured in his ear, knowing full well that they were cutting it rather fine as far as timing their arrival went.

"Have I mentioned how ravishing you look tonight?" he commented and she giggled like some kind of schoolgirl with their first ever crush as she shook her head "Well you do," he added, swaying her to the beat of the music.

"He's right, you do look stunning Miss Stark," the agent said, his eyes echoing a predatory hunger she'd only seen in one other man before. That man had been dead for a few months now and that kind of look no longer had any kind of negative effect on her.
