"What's your name?"

"What's your name?" I repeated his question, putting emphasis on the word 'your'. Yes, I am being difficult. There is a perfect exclamation for my stubbornness, though. This is a complete stranger; a strange stranger. I don't have to reveal my whole life to him!

He is trying to help you out, that stupid voice of reason was talking again. Whenever it appeared to be gone, it returned. Shut up, I thought to it.

"I asked first!" The boy exclaimed, pouting at me. His bottom lip stuck out, as he glared at me. Trying to avoid his intense blue eyes, I looked at my feet.

"Be a gentleman," I said, still trying to ignore the looks he was giving me. He is now resorting to the puppy dog eyes. Those always get to me.

"Okay then," he grinned, giving me a sly look. "Ladies first."

"Oh, come on..." I muttered angrily. However, he did win the argument with that comeback. He deserved an answer. "Fine… My name is Ariana!"

What he said was pretty clever, the voice stated. Part of me agreed with the voice, the other part was too stubborn to agree.

"Someone has some sass," he said, shaking his head. "That someone's name is Ariana!" He sang out, making me roll my eyes. Why did he have to sing? That was terrifying. "I can't believe I tricked you!" He finished in an excited voice.

"I can't believe it either," I muttered. In all seriousness, my brain couldn't process how this boy tricked me! He seemed pretty foolish and childish. "Now, tell me your name."

"No," he answered, grinning a grin that should be gorgeous. In my mind, it was a grin worthy of the devil. "I don't think I want to."

Anger surged through my body, followed by disbelief. He tricked me big time! How is that even possible? He must be a whole lot smarter then he looks. The saying 'never judge a book by its cover' ran through my head. Its moments like this one I truly understand the meaning of that quote.

"Whatever. Help me find a home," I hissed. Seconds later, I realized that seemed rude. I instantly felt a little bad. Why would he want to help a witch? I need to make that sentence nicer.  "Please. I will be your best friend!" I added with a forced smile on my face. I was regretting that deal. There's no way I would let this guy be my best friend. Hopefully the 'best friend' part sounded as bad to him as it did to me.

"Sure thing," he grinned. "Although, I think we should be a little more than best friends. Friends with benefits sound better," he suggested, grinning at me.

"No," I sighed in exasperation. "I just need a house...Please."

"I can't take you seriously if you act so... nice," he said, chuckling. "Alright, it’s time for house hunting! Come on, off the bench!" He ordered, holding out his hand to help me up.

"Okay," I said, getting to my feet by myself. I finally took this moment to take in my surroundings.

There are few people walking on the street; most of them appear to be tourists as well. A good amount of them were holding cameras and snapping pictures of random things. Some small trees lined one side of the street. They're at least three arm's lengths away from each other. Tall, white buildings line the other side of the street. I peered through the windows, spotting lots of clothes and other items.

"What is this place?" I asked curiously, glancing at the boy who was staring at me in amusement.

"A small shopping place," he answered, shrugging. "There are quite a few places to shop around here," he stayed quiet for a moment, so I fell silent as well. "Do you have any other questions? You’re surprisingly incurious for a tourist."
