Chapter 8

Lencey Nightley

I was really hurt. I never thought I could still feel this kind of pain that I'm feeling right now.

I thought I didn't cared at all. But I was wrong. It hurts like hell seeing him kissing Carrie Melling.

I was sitting in my bed. I tried to erase the memories that was just happened. I never thought, I could cry like crazy because of him.

My eyes were swollen and my nose was already red because of my nonstop crying moment.

My cellphone beeped, and when I looked at the message it was coming from him.

Lencey , please let me explain.

I eventually deleted his message. I wasn't ready to have any conversation with him, even if it's just a text.

I laid down in my bed. All I could hear was the sound of my heartbeat. I could also feel the cold wind caressing my whole body.

I couldn't sleep. It's already 11 o'clock in the evening. My mind was wide awake that I could hardly sleep.

I was just alone in the house. My parents were having a business trip again. They're busy as always, but I understand them. They worked hard for my future.

It was a great luck when my parents were here and the Carven family also moved in. It's funny how our lives were full of coincidence.

I decided to go outside. I put my coat on and headed outside.

It was indeed cold. My messy, uncombed hair was being blown by the wind.

I didn't know where to go. I just have this sudden need to go outside.

I kept on walking. The moon was shining brightly in the night sky. I wished to see a star tonight, but they were nowhere to be found. The moon was just alone tonight, just like me.

The neighborhood were already in their dream lands. I was the only one walking like a vagrant on this cold morose night.

I just kept on walking until I felt a droplets falling in my head. That's when I realized it was already raining.

Another thing that I realized was, I was a little bit farther from my house.

Because of my deep thinking, I walked almost 50 kilometers away from my house.

The raindrops continuously falling, that if I stayed even longer I'll be like a soaked cat.

Instead of running going back, I just remained calm and walk slowly while feeling the cold freezing raindrops.

Suddenly, I felt the coldness crept in my body. I started shivering. I was totally soaked and wet. The rain became stronger and the wind blows colder.

I still didn't ran. This was the best way to ease all the pain that I was feeling. I felt like I was already numb. I knew, that this was not a good thing for my health. But, at this moment, I didn't cared at all.

I stopped and closed my eyes for a moment. I was still hurt. I could feel my heart that was slowly breaking. I was feeling everything when someone suddenly hugged me tightly.
