The urban legend: The Clown Statue is a very frightening legend in addition to it being true. Although some people don't believe it, it certainly freaks me out.
So, one night a couple hired a babysitter named Sarah to look after their kids whilst they went out for a romantic meal. Everything was fine until the babysitter looked to her left in the living room and saw the most freakiest clown statue ever. After about 5 minutes of just concentrating on the clown statue, she shrugged it off and took the kids off to bed.
When the kids had gone to sleep, she went down to the living room and watched some T.V. Soon enough, the clown statue was not something Sarah could shrug off anymore and it was freaking her out more than ever.
So, she called the parents on an emergency phone (obviously given for emergencies) when the mother picked up she sounded extremely worried.
"Hi.." Sarah greeted
"Hello? Yes? What's happened? Are the kids alright?!" The mum replied anxiously
"Yes! Erm... The clown statue in your living room is starting to freak me out. Can I please move it somewhere that is out of my sight?"
A big sigh of relief came from the other side of Sarah's phone. That was then followed by an eerie silence.
"Hello?" Sarah called after a long silence.
The mum then whispered, sounding like she didn't want someone to hear "Get the kids, get out of the house and call the police!"
"Why?"
"We don't own a clown statue..."
Sarah glared at the statue for 5 seconds and rapidly followed the steps the mother had given. When the police finally came they thanked the family and babysitter for calling the police before it was too late. The 'clown statue' was actually a serial killer that the police had been searching for, for years.
