Nothing of the storyline is changed. I rewrote my terrible paragraphs. :)
--------------------Ah, December. The month where Christmas is every where you go. No matter what shop you're going to, there will always be some Christmas decoration plastered all over the place. Kids would be writing letters to Santa, grown ups would rush around buying presents for their relatives. Houses would smell like gingerbread and other baked goods.
You enjoyed Christmas. Every year, your dad would bring home a beautiful Christmas Tree which you and Amber decorated afterwards. Your sister would always get to put on the star at the very top of the tree. Once decorating was done, you would make gingerbread with the help of your sister. You both always had a lot of fun with flour, getting it all over your faces and the kitchen.
But as the years passed, you got less festive. Since your dad was out working, you were the one who would go get the Christmas Tree. It wasn't as big as your father would bring home, but it had to do. You let Amber decorate the tree, since you didn't feel like doing anything. Your mom would be the only one baking sweets in the kitchen...
That led you to wonder; do they celebrate Christmas in the mansion? Maybe they had a huge party every year? Or maybe they went so far to decorate the whole house inside and out? You were about to find out.
After you got up from your bed, you wandered over to your calendar and circled today. The 24th of December. Christmas Eve.
Then, you made your way downstairs to the living room. Jeff and Ben were playing a video game as always. Smile was curled up on the couch while EJ was petting him.
You glanced around the room and saw no Christmas decorations. Not even a Christmas Tree.
"Hey." You greeted the three and Smile while leaning on the back of the couch. You rested your head onto EJ's just because. He didn't seem to respond and kept petting Smile. They muttered something along the lines of 'hi' back.
"What's up?" EJ asked as I removed my head from his and stood up straight. I circled the couch and sat down besides him, looking at the TV's screen.
"Just wanted to know if you guys know what day it is today." I questioned them. Jeff shrugged while Ben didn't even seem to hear me. That, or he was ignoring me. EJ thought for a second before replying.
"24th of December...oh wait is it Christmas?" He questioned and replied at the same time. "Yeah, it is. If you're wondering if we celebrate it, then we don't. Well, Jane and Clockwork bake those brown cookie things that I hate, and that's all."
I replied with a small 'oh' in response. It was quiet for a bit as I watched the two pastas play their video game. Surprisingly, Jeff seemed to be winning. Ben was getting annoyed so they started throwing insults at each other to make the other lose the game.
"You know what?" You walked to the TV and unplugged a cable which made the screen go blank. After earning a plate full of whines and complaints you dropped the cable and stood in front of the TV.
"I'm going to make you guys celebrate Christmas wether you like it or not. I used to celebrate this holiday and I happen to enjoy it, so get your butts up and let's go find a d!mn Christmas Tree!"
The three shared a glance and sighed. Jeff stood up along with Ben.
"Sure. It's not like we have anything better to do." Ben shrugged.
"Yeah. Once we get the tree, we'll make Ben the star and set him on top of it." Jeff added and began to walk towards the door.
