Chapter 4 of ∂αngєяσυѕу ѕαfє

K A T Y

Well last night was eventful. After I had sat down, nobody talked for a while until this guy with long curly hair brung up the subject about his birthday and how he wants to celebrate it with some other people whose names I couldn't remember. I wonder if I'm invited.

The talk kept going on for a while then it changed to something I couldn't be asked to join into. So I just sat there, in room with actual vampires, picking at the skin beside my fingernails. In addition, the guy- wait... I learnt his name, I was... Liam! Yeah that guy. He told me to drink some of his blood after the rest of boys said my bite looks really bad.

His blood!

I most definitely protested but I guess in argument which contains five vampires and one fragile human girl, the vampires are bound to win. So without further ado, I had taken ahold of his wrist after he has bitten into it and only licked the blood that came out. Like hell I was actually going to drink it from his wrist. However they didn't mind because hey, at least I was consuming the blood.

As for now, my legs dangled on the side of the bed in the room I have been given since my arrival. I thought about how my night of walking home and watching The Originals on Netflix, turned out to be me being taken into custody by five vampires, bitten and drank from and forced to drink another vampires blood- which, incase you were wondering, heals human injuries!

For some reason the line "We have officially cured Cancer." came to mind from I Am Legend. If the blood can cure injuries, can it also cure the horrible diseases we have in this world? I have to ask one of them about this soon.

I glanced over at my now empty plate. they had given me food and sent me back in here. They told me they apparently needed to go and run errands.

God knows what that means.

However my stomach wanted more. The food they gave me was not enough after what I've been through. I think I might need a whole buffet or two for my consumption only.

For the next couple hours I had busied myself by trying to take of the chipped paint on the walls and making a weird dance routine because I had "Buy You A Drank" in my head for some very odd reason. Lastly I decided to take a shower. I cleaned myself up in hopes to distract myself for bit. It worked, until I got out of the shower.

I squealed in surprise as the guy with the black hair was stood near the wall I was chipping the paint off. His back was towards me but I still jumped and almost died.

Well I almost slipped, not died, but still.

My hands clutched tighter around the towel that is the only thing covering me from the vampire in front of me and my eyes were darting around the room to find where I left my clothes.

Once I spotted them, I made a plan to run as fast as my wet bare feet would take me and grab the clothes and run back into the bathroom.

But of course the universe, like always, was not on my side and the lad had turned around before I even had the chance to move an inch.

His eyes widened a fraction at my state before they landed on my face and stayed on my face. I was thankful that.

"Oh my, Uh sorry but I was just sent here to tell you that we are back now and ask if you have eaten the food?" He was fidgety.

I glanced at my empty plate near the other wall and he followed my gaze. Without a word, he made his way to the plate and picked it up. His knees crackled as he bent down to grab the plate but he did it so quickly I was left staring at where the plate was for a few seconds until I turned my head to see him standing in his previous position.

"Uh yeah thanks and sorry for just coming in. I did not mean to make you uncomfortable." He apologised and the admirable thing was that he actually looked like he was genuine about it.

"It's alright. Thanks for the food."

He nodded and made his way towards the door and I suddenly realised that I was still very much hungry.

"Oh wait! Um ..." I stumbled upon my sentence as I had no idea what his name was. Nonetheless he stopped and turned around to face me; lifting his eyebrows to suggest that I should go on about what I wanted to say.

"Uhh I was wondering... could I have some more to eat? I've been here for quite long without eating and just a plate... it wasn't enough for my stomach to shut up."

God that sounded all so wrong.

"I don't mean to sound ungrateful or anything! I just was hoping I could have some more? Please?" I made an expression that resembled to Oliver in Oliver Twist when he asked for more food.

But he never got any.

Shut up ugly conscience.

He shrugged his shoulders and a ghost of a smile surfaced.

"Sure. I'll wait for you to changed into your clothes and then we can head down to the kitchen. The fridge must have something for you to digest."

"Thank you so much!" I sighed in relief and slugged my shoulders. "I won't be more than a couple minutes."

He walked out the door after telling me that he would be just outside. I instantly rushed to my clothes and slipped into the sweatpants as quick as I could and tried to do that same with my top however my wet hair made it difficult to put my arm through the hole because it got tangled and wrapped around with the skin of my forearm.

After struggling for a few seconds, I popped my head through the top and pulled it down.

"Ready!" I opened the door fully and beamed at him. He chuckled at my enthusiasm. Well, I am getting more food.

We made our way through the place and finally arrived into the kitchen but when we reached there, my smiled dropped and was replaced with a scowl as my eyes landed on Louis. Yeah I finally got to know his name.

I ignored the smirk on his face and his whole presence fully as the guy directed me to the fridge.

"Look for anything you like and take it." He offered and opened the fridge door for me. The cold fresh air from inside the fridge crashed against my face and wet hair; I could not describe a better feeling than this. I breathed in the cool air and started my searching for something to eat.

"What's in this?" I asked as I picked up a plastic box from inside and showed it to him.

"Biryani. Chicken Biryani." He confirmed that it has meat in it.

Good thing I am not vegetarian!

"Ooh can I have this please?"

"Yeah just let me out it in the microwave and heat it up for you." He took the box from my hands and went to the microwave.

I closed the fridge door and leaned against one of the counter tops of the large kitchen. I saw Louis working on a word search in a newspaper; he had the round end of the pencil in his mouth while he looked determined to find a word.

The ding sound of the food finished being heated interrupted my observation and made my head turn towards the other guy who also kindly got a fork for me.

"You can eat from the box if you wish. Unless you want a plate?"

"No thanks, the box is fine. Thank you..." I trailed on.

"It's Zayn." He confirmed.

"Sweet. Thanks, Zayn."

"No problem, Katy."
