Chapter One of ∂αngєяσυѕℓу ѕαfє
K A T Y
I am currently walking home from a late work party, it feels like it's below freezing point and the streets are dimly lit up, making the atmosphere seem even more creepier. The brisk air nips at my skin making goose numbs to arise on my skin, my black leather jacket warms me up as I pull it close to me -hugging myself- to stop the breeze contacting with my skin.
I look down at my laced dark blue dress that ends near the middle of my thighs; pulling at the end of it to keep it down- the wind picks up and the dress lifts up in the air a little. I groan and push it down again as I continue walking back to my house.
The street lights illuminating numerous shapes and shadows across the pavement and the road beside it. Suddenly the air picks up from behind and my hair jolts forward making even harder to see. The back of my dress flying up as I once again, stretch the fabric down to cover up the exposed skin behind. I squeal as immediately the air blasts in front of me, causing me to take a couple of steps back due to the force. What is wrong with the weather?
I live in my own home : as I moved out 1 year ago from ... Never mind. I'm 19 years old by the way.
I stopped for a few seconds fixing my dress and snuggling into my jacket again. After mumbling a few profanities, I started to walk again and I took a deep breath in, inhaling all I could of fresh air. I took my gaze up toward the sky and the stars winked at me from all directions making my head stir a little. The clicking of my heels, making the only sound in this polar night.
My head still up I had not noticed that I banged into something hard however too soft to be a wall. My head jolted in front of me and I took two big steps back away from the, shall I say handsome, looking figure before my eyes. My arms by my side allowing the air to access inside my jacket. But my full attention is placed on this person I barged into idiotically.
"S- sorry, I wasn't looking!" I quietly spoke and apologized. My whole body shaking lightly because of the wind as I took in what or who was it I barged into.
My eyes scanned this outfit first; black skinny jeans and a fitting dark red top sure did the trick of showing most of his toned and muscled arms. The moon was behind him so I couldn't see his face properly however I could make out that his hair was brown and the colour of his eyes stood out the most.
His light blue eyes were locked on mine as I stared at him intensely with my light brown ones. The street lamp on top of him flickered slightly before it went out, making it even harder to see him properly. The only lamp in the street which was cut off. Was there a power cut? Only on this lamp? Weird...
I heard him chuckle as I found out I had just been staring at him like a freak. The little heat in me, flushing its way to my cheeks, making me blush in embarrassment. "Sorry." I mumbled.
I actually didn't think he would of heard my apology but apparently e did as he replied, "Don't worry, it's fine sweetheart." he said in his husky but a little high pitched voice. Sweetheart? Really? Heat continues to travel to my face, making me feel hot all of a sudden.
I nodded and gave him a slight smile as I started to make my way around him. Just as I started walking away I looked into his cold eyes one last time and I was a quite confused when I saw his iris suddenly change to a light red colour. Was it like that before?
Out of nowhere he steps in front of me, blocking my way and flared his nostrils. A smirked played at his lips as he just smelt something he truly loves the scent off. He closed his eyes and takes in another deep breath. My eyebrows kintted in confusion but then I just thought of it as nothing, he might be thinking of something.
