Lunch
I threw my bag over my shoulder as I left the room. Saved by the bell. Thank god for lunch. I swung the cafeteria door open and walked in. After sitting my bags down at a table I joined Anna in the lunch line.
“Hey girl!” Anna said as I walked up.
“Hey! Having a good day? I bet it just got better, you get to see me and spend a whole period with me when the bell rings!”
“Ha! Not to mention lunch! My day has been completed.” She grins and looks up at the menu.
I glance up, “Sure you want to eat today? Theyre serving catfood, uhm.. I mean pasta. Your favorite right?"
"Oh, yes. Yum. I just love catfood." Anna said sarcastically.
We laughed as we waited in line to get our lunch. I looked around but couldnt find Ryan anywhere. However, Chase was standing in the line opposite of me talking to a group of people. Looks like hes made some friends. I watched as several girls flirted around with him. I crossed my arms and felt myself tense up. Woahh... am I jealous?
"Whats up?" Anna asked.
"Huh?"
"You look mad or like annoyed."
"Oh," i studdered, "No I'm good."
I wasnt good though. I was crushing on a guy and I had a boyfriend. What's good about that? He was just soo perfect though. Out of all the girls he coould choose to talk to he chose me. Why? I dont know.
I looked over and finally saw Ryan walking into the cafeteria.
"Hey babe." He greeted me.
"Hey, where you been?" I asked.
He smelled like perfume. I noticed that a short brunnette walked in after him. Suddenly, my mind opened up to a world of questions with no answers. Where was he? Why does he smell like perfume? Who was the chic who came in behind him?
"In the gym." He replied, "I left a bag in there."
"Oh, alright."
Anna and I grabbed our trays and took a seat.
"This seat taken?" A voice from behind me asked.
"No." Anna answered, "Its all yours."
Before I could turn around to see who it was I felt a hand touch my shoulder.
"See, even your friend likes me."
I looked over to see Chase taking a seat beside me. Anna looked at me funny as Chase winked at me.
"Anna," I said as I patted Chase on the shoulder, "meet the cute little puppy dog thats been following at my heels all day."
Chase laughed, "Atleast Im not trying to hump you! And awe, you called me cute!"
"Dont let it get to your head." I laughed.
"Hey buddy," Ryane tapped Chase on the shoulder, "get your a** out of my seat."
"Your seat?" Chase laughed, "Sorry but I must have missed your name being imprinted on the seat when I sat down."
"Very funny," Ryan said as he sat his tray down on top of Chase's, "Now get up kid."
Chase laughed and finally answered, "No. There are other seats."
"Chase..." I warned.
"I said get up!" Ryan grabbed Chase by the back of the shirt and jered him up.
