#1: 16th Birthday (Part 1)

Today was the day you were turning 16. You didn't really want to go all out, you were more of a sentimental kind of person, but you knew that your friends would do something big to surprise you.

You woke up to various text messages from friends, family and of course, the 5sos boys. Most from your family and friends being in your hometown as you had moved to Australia a few years ago. The environment was different from home, but you loved getting a new experience, and moving to a whole different country made sure of that. Of course you had made friends with aussies, but it was always nice keeping in contact with those back at home.

You texted all your friends and family back home, thanking them for their beautiful wishes and that you would be visiting home very soon. You then scrolled across the messages left from your best friends:

Ash: 'Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, you look like a monkey, and you smell like one too. Haha just kidding, love you, see you tonight xx'

You roll your eyes at his weirdness, but Ashton was always the one that made you laugh, at that moment you think about how he would be giggling too if you sent the same message to him on his birthday, creating a huge grin on your face. You read the words 'see you tonight' again, it made you wonder what they had planned.

Cal: 'Happy 16th!! This is a big one, enjoy your day and see you tonight❤️'

Again with the 'see you tonight'. You sigh in frustration, not knowing what was going on. You decide to just shrug it off whilst reading the next one:

Mikey: 'Is it someone's birthday today?! Hmm, might need to think this one over...'

You roll your eyes once again, realising yet another of many times what crazy and weird friends you had. You noticed he texted you again after that message, a few minutes gap in between messages:

Mikey: 'Oh so it's your birthday today! Haha I didn't forget, don't worry😉. 16!! My best friend is growing up *wipes tears*. Yeah I'm weird, love you xx'

The 5sos boys were all you could ever ask for. They really were the most amazing friends and it made you think about how things wouldn't be this way if you hadn't moved, so you were grateful in that sense. You decide to message them all a thank you.

One last message was still unread, it was from none other than 'Lukey boy'. Your phone name for Luke always made you giggle because you knew that it annoyed him and seeing Luke in that way was somewhat hilarious to you.

Lukey Boy: 'Happy Birthday y/n!!🎉🎁❤️Today's a special day and I can't wait for you to see what I have planned. Pick you up at 5pm, and don't ask questions on where we're going because I'm not going to open up😏. P.S. Dress casual'

From all the 5sos boys, you were probably the most closest with Luke considering you had been dating for a few months now. You knew that Luke had a thing for you and you obviously had a thing for him too, but Luke has been sending you mixed messages lately, he seems confused as to how he felt which sort of frustrated you. You hadn't really let it bother you, and you told yourself that you wouldn't allow it to bother you, especially on a day like this.

You decide to have a lie in, watch some tv and get dressed before 5pm. You took awhile finding an outfit to wear, soon agreeing on blue ripped skinny jeans and a white sleeveless top, following Luke's instructions of dressing casual. You decide to straighten your hair and do your makeup simple. Once finishing up, you hear the ring of the doorbell.
