Sundays were always your lazy days. Those days where you would just chill and free your mind of any negative thoughts of stress or worry. It was the evening and Luke texted you saying that he would be coming over, seemingly inviting himself over because he treated your house like his own, but you weren't complaining and you never did. However, today you were feeling a little down. Probably due to the dreary weather outside of rain and thunder making you feel a little jumpy and uneasy, bur you thought to just shrug it off and go on with your day as normal.
It wasn't long until Luke had arrived, he turned up soaking wet from the rain. Droplets of water would run down his face from his dripping hair, his bright blue eyes standing out more than usual, his shirt stuck to his chest revealing his slight abs and toned body shape. You instantly grabbed a blanket to warm him up also embracing him in a hug. He was taken back at first but accepted your hug, wrapping his arms around your waist. 'What was that for?' he asks with a little chuckle. 'I feel safe in your arms' you say boldly and shrugged like it was no big deal, turning around and starting to walk to the sofa to sit down. You could feel the smile spread across his face, his dimples evident from the corner of your eye. He surprises you with a hug from behind and whispers an 'I love you' into your ear, shivers running down your back as he always said that phrase giving you the best feeling of contentment.
'Let's play a game' he says, out of the blue. You let out a little chuckle and ask: 'What game were you thinking of?'. He walks over to the kitchen, a few openings and closings of cupboards are heard, the noise of the microwave and a few minutes later, he walks back out and into the living room where you were waiting for him. He had a bowl of popcorn in hand, plopping himself on the sofa next to you. 'What is this game you speak of?', you ask again getting antsy of what was on his mind. 'Each round, we say something that we love about the other person and feed them a piece of popcorn', he begins to explain the game.
'So let's start off simple, I love your eyes', he says, lifting up a piece of popcorn to your mouth, indicating for you to open it. You let out a little laugh, amused of your cheesy boyfriend for the choice of game picking, but gave in and went along with it. 'Okay, I love your smile', you say, showing off that goofy and toothy smile of his once again, opening his mouth for you to feed him. 'I love when you interwine your fingers with mine and play with the rings on my fingers', making you smile widely at his evidence of small detail. 'I love when you are my little spoon', giggles escaping your mouth as he playfully smacks your arm and pouts. You and Luke had this thing where you would argue over who was the little spoon and who was the big spoon. You always jokingly told Luke that he was your little spoon as he was always so cute, sweet and cuddly but he would funnily get annoyed and argue over his position of the big spoon. You loved being his little spoon, but annoying Luke was always somewhat hilarious and always made you laugh.
'I am not the little spoon', the pout still evidently spread across his lips. You continue to crack up, just as you both did for the rest of the night. The game lasted for hours, both enjoying and appreciating each others presence as the time went by quite drastically.
