It was to be a quick mission. A simple in and out. All he was supposed to do was retrieve the helmet his idiot brother had lost, then come back before anyone noticed either of them. And it would have been, if he hadn't seen her. It wasn't her looks on the outside that caught his eye, though she was beautiful, with pale skin, pale hair and pronounced cheekbones, but her looks on the inside. Not personality though, this was different. He was looking at a spark. A spark that he knew should allow her to do magic. He was shocked, he had never seen a spark before in humans, you couldn't really blame him for staring at her through the cafe window. As if she felt she was being observed, she looked up directly at him, and winked cheekily. He smirked and winked back her before walking away. He had just gotten around the corner when he stopped dead. He was invisible. There was no way she should have been able to see him.

As soon as Angel winked at the man outside who was staring as her, she mentally cringed and cursed herself. "Idiot!" She scolded. That man had been under an invisibility spell. She only hoped he would think to quickly about how she was able to see him. But the spark in him, it was so strong! Never before had she seen one that bright in anyone that wasn't like her. She lifted her mug and took a sip of the creamy hot chocolate. A young man came to sit next to her. She smiled. "Hello Puck." She greeted her brother softly. "What brings you here?"

He grinned "I've come to check on my baby sister of course." He told her.

"I'm only twenty years younger than you and you know that." She said in fake annoyance. He laughed at her irritation.

"Yes but you'll always be my little sibling. How's things going?"

She shrugged. "Same as always. No sign of them, and I watch the human news reports to keep tract I case something happens in a foreign country."

Puck groaned. "I don't know how you understand humans or their gadgets. They don't make any sense to me."

Angel smiled. "Which is why I'm doing this and you're not." She taunted. He stuck his tongue out at her playfully. She smiled genuinely at him. "It's good to see you Puck." She said, Placing her hand on his. Her turned his hand over and clutched hers almost fiercely.

"It's good to see you too Ange." She squeezed his hand with just as much strength.

"Any news or messages from father?" She asked tiredly. She hated asking, and she knew he hated answering, but she had to, just in case.

"Nothing sis, I'm sorry." She looked away. Nothing meant waiting until Puck's next visit to see if she could come home. It meant another few years of watching for something that might never happen. Her brother knew how painful it was for her to be away from home. "I can stay the night if you want." He offered, giving her hand another squeeze. She gave him a soft half smile.

"Yes please." She said quietly. She drank the last of her drink and they stood up, walking out hand in hand.

Loki paced back and forth. Who was she? How could she see him? How could she have a spark, and of that magnitude? Those, along with me many other questions bounced around he inside of his cranium. He groaned and looked up at the ceiling for inspiration. Then it hit him. An apprentice. He kept meaning to find one, but it was never a good time or there was never anyone who had enough skill. But now, he seemed to have found the perfect candidate. He decided. Tomorrow, he would find the girl and bring her back, whether she liked it or not.

Authors note: Hey guys! I figure this story will only get read by a couple people, but what can you do? I know the chapters are supershort and I'm really sorry, but I'm just typing these on my phone and I can't tell how long their going to be. I'm going to try to make this story longer than three chapters, which seems to be my norm. Loki belongs to Marvel and to Norse Myhology. Puck belongs to celtic mythology. Loki may be a little OOC.
