The next three days past uneventfully, if not dully, spent taking in clothes and hiding them whenever Loki or some other Asgardian would come into her room.

Then finally, on her fifth day of being awake, Angel was allowed to begin her training. With Advantia's help, she slipped into a simple purple dress, complete with all the undergarments. When she was finally dressed, There was a knock at the door. Loki stood outside, waiting patiently for her to be ready. She stepped out coolly, but with and amount of eagerness that may or may not have been faked radiating off her. Sure that she was ready to go, he took off at a brisk walk, forcing her to jog to catch up before she could match his pace. They walked in silence, soon coming to a set of large wooden doors. He pushed one open and angel realized they were in a library.

Loki chuckled as Angels eyes widened at the sight of all rows upon rows of book shelves. "I see you like it here." She turned to look at him, a sparkle in her eyes.

"Is this where all my lessons will be?"

He nodded. "I do all my work here. I expect it will be fine for you to."

She nodded. "I'm perfectly fine with spending as much time as I can around books." He could hear her love for books in her voice as plainly as he could see her nose on her face.

'I've made a good choice.' He told himself. "Follow me."

Angel was led to a messy work zone. There were stands holding thick spell books and pots with different things leaking out, and in the middle were two giant work tables, one cover with different files and tubes, the other piled high with notes. She raised an eyebrow at the mess. Loki grinned sheepishly. "I'm not really used to having other people in my area. I don't mind the mess, so I don't clean it up too often."

"You don't have to explain yourself to me, I like mess." She said passively.

"Good." Angel was handed a thick old book. "This book is full of some of the easier spells. Go through it for some you think are interesting. You still weak, so we won't learn them yet. I'll be working if you need anything." He handed her a couple of silk ribbons. "Use these to mark the spells you like."

She nodded.

Loki could feel a pair of eyes watching him as he mixed ingredients. Pausing to look behind him he saw Angel staring at him. She held his gaze for a moment then went back to reading. The room was completely silent, save for the turn of book pages and the bubble of the potion he was brewing. And... A soft humming. "What's that tune?" He asked curiously, looking back at her. She looked up, almost startled that he had noticed.

"Just a song." She said placidly.

"Will you sing it?" He asked, realizing that he wanted her to. He wanted to hear her voice. 'Of course I do,' he rationalized, 'she's a lovely singer.' A ghost of a smile laid upon her lips.

"Maybe. Someday." She told him, her voice almost sad.

Angel knew she was supposed to be reading, but she couldn't help staring. The first time it was because she was interested in what he was doing. She always liked to watch people do magic and mix potions. They were also different, even when they were doing the same thing. But this time she was interested in him. He turned around. Caught again. She didn't stop looking, she felt no shame in looking. "You are staring at me again." He said quietly.

"Yes I am. What's your point?" She asked calmly.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you it's rude to stare?" Angel felt a pang in her heart when he brought up her mother, but she pushed it down.
