Three hours later...
I walked out the Starbucks and looked around. The boys from One Direction left an hour ago when suddenly more and more teenage girls discovered their passion for ground coffee beans.
I had nowhere to go today so I decided to walk around a bit, maybe buy something nice to wear for when I go to my next go-see. Just when I turned round the corner I heard squeeing. A bunch of girls were pressing their faces against the shopping windows at Harrods. A security guard was blocking the entrance. One girl was pointing to a tall boy walking through the aisles and I followed her hand to see that she was pointing at Liam from One Direction.
Damn! Out of all the stores in London they chose Harrods?
I needed to get inside that store, even if it meant getting in trouble with that bloke.
C: Excuse me, um I was wondering if it's possible for me to get access to that store. I need to pick something up. It's urgent and important.
Some of the girls who heard me talking to the security guy turned their heads and laughed.
Okay, maybe it's not the best strategy, but paired with my alluring smile it worked fine in the past.
The security guy didn't move, didn't blink. I went a bit closer. Was he even breathing?
C: Urgh, look! I need 5 minutes to go in, grab my stuff and get out. I won't even go near them. You have my word! Please just let me in, I'm in a hurry. My boss is gonna kill me.
He sighed and rolled his eyes. From the corner of my eyes I saw how a group of girls stood there, mouths wide open, not believing that my plan actually worked.
Sec: You have 5 minutes. I'll go with you, just to make sure you keep that promise.
C: Sure, thank you.
He unlocked the door and we both went in. He locked the door behind him and I took the escalator up to the third floor. I reached the check counter and took a deep breath. Lucky for me the boys were on the same floor. The girl behind the counter had her back turned towards me. I cleared my throat and spoke with a sweet and low voice.
C: Excuse me, I'm here to pick something up for Miss Burke.
The girl turned around and smiled at me. Her name tag read Bridget.
B: You must be Miss Davis. One moment please, I'll get the dress.
C: Thank you.
I turned my head to the right where the security bloke was eyeing me the whole time and gave him the 'Told you so!' look. From a distance I heard some of the boys calling a name. The big bloke turned around and I turned around too, noticing the five young men walking towards us. They hadn't seen me right away since the security guy was blocking their view.
The oldest one, Louis, saw me first.
Lo: Hey! I know you somewhere.
Ok, ok. Think, Chloe! THINK. Do you tell him? Or do you play it cool?
The second I opened my mouth the youngest one, Harry Styles, appeared by his side.
H: She's that girl from the Starbucks down the street.
Lo: Oh... Right!
THAT girl?????????? I must have left a lasting impression after all...
The rest came up behind Harry just as Bridget returned with the dress in her hands.
B: Here you go. We made all the required changes. If anything doesn't fit, Miss Burke has my number. Tell her to contact me, I'll get it fixed immediately.
