'Would you just lay with me and forget the world?'
~ Chasing Cars, Snow Patrol

Later that day, Una was going to meet up with Jack and April.
She sat on the train and watched the world go by. She hadn't seen April and Jack for almost a week and was meeting them for coffee.

April was sat at a small table inside and Jack was at the counter, getting drinks.
Una sat down quietly.
"Una, how are you." April said enthusiastically.
"I'm fine. How are you?" She asked back, trying to mirror the enthusiasm. Jack sat down with a tray of three coffees.
Jack sat down and put his arm around April.
"So you guys are still fucking then." Una concluded. April let out a small laugh and kicked Una in the shin.
"I wouldn't go that far but yeah." Jack took a sip of coffee.
"You can't talk, you and Kayla." April wiggled her eyebrows.
"There's no need to wiggle your eyebrows about it." Una opened a sugar packet and emptied the contents into her cup. "Jeez, you're such a creep."
Una felt the awkward silence. They were all avoiding what happened at school.
"What are you guys doing for Christmas?" April asked as she stirred her coffee.
"I'm heading up to my Gran's for Christmas. We leave tomorrow I think." Una was so happy for the silence to have been broken.
"Sounds good, doesn't Kayla live near there?" April looked up. Jack hit her lightly on the arm.
"Shut up." Jack said quietly. They returned to quietly drinking coffee. The cafe was dimly lit and had music playing quietly.
"What's this song, it sounds fam..." Una put her hand on the table.
"Jesus, you guys. We need to talk about what happened. We can't continue like this." Jack interrupted.
"I agree, but there's nothing to talk about." April looked at the table.
"Yes there is. I got a newspaper on the way here. One of the stories was about the killings. Apparently there was a second killer. Scott wasn't working alone." Jack reached into his pocket and took out a ripped piece of paper. It was the story from the paper.
"So, the second killer is still on the run?" Una asked.
"Not necessarily running, hidden in plain sight, possibly."

Una didn't sleep the entire night. She was up thinking about the second killer.
She couldn't shake the idea that it could've been another student. Maybe even another friend.

Una sat in the car with her mum and dad, they were driving to her maternal grandmother's house. She lived on the outskirts of a small city. Una knew it was near Kayla's house, she hoped she might be able to slip out and see her at some point. It was December 22nd and they were staying until the 26th. That's got to be enough time to meet up.
Una missed Kayla. They had been messaging and calling but not as much as she had been talking to April.

Her phone buzzed
