Tomorrow was it. Tomorrow I had to say goodbye. Tomorrow he would leave me and I don't know if he will come back. I mean, there are millions of girls in America who are constantly going to be throwing themselves at him and it will be easy for him to forget about me, I'm not special. Today we were alone, the boys and I hung out together last night and today they would let Liam and I be.
We just sat in his room with a constant stream of movies on the tv. But we weren't watching them, we were watching each other. We didn't need to say anything, we knew that this was enough. We spent the entire day locked in his room just laying next to each other. I kept getting lost in the depths of his beautiful chocolate eyes as my hand continuously ran through his soft brunette hair.
"I'm going to miss this." he whispered, his gaze locked on my eyes. "I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too Li. This is the happiest I have been in a long, long time." I told him. And it was true. I rarely smiled ever since my parents were killed. I used to have a reoccurring nightmare of their accident even though I wasn't there when it happened. That just made it all the worse because the haunting dream would change every night as I pictured them being blindsided by a tractor trailer or crashing head on into a tree. But ever since Liam came, it stopped.
"Don't think about it." he said, reading my saddened expression. "Whatever is upsetting you, I don't want you to think about it. Let's do something together babe."
That last bit caught my attention more than anything else he said. "Do what?" I asked curiously.
"Anything you want." he replied.
"I just want to be with you." I sighed. He pulled me into his lap and held me in comfortable silence for a few minutes. I kissed his cheek before resting my head on his shoulder.
"Go put your swimsuit on." he suddenly demanded. "I'll meet you at the pool in ten minutes."
"Okay babe." I said before getting up. I stopped at the door when I heard him call to me.
"Oh and Sara?" he asked.
"Yes?"
"Thank you." he said sincerely.
"For what?" I asked.
"Being with me, trusting me, supporting me in all of this even though its what's sending me away from you." he answered. I blushed so dark, I think I invented a new shade of red.
"Aw Li, of course I'm going to support you, this is your dream and now you've made it your career. Who am I to stop you from doing what you love?" I told him. He smiled at his lap and I walked out of the room.
I quickly went into my room and put on my pink and gray striped bikini. The top was a bandeau with a string coming from the center that was tied behind my neck. I covered the bottoms with a pair of reversible basketball shorts that were hot pink on one side and gray on the other, gray side facing out. I put on my white flip flops, grabbed my cell phone and room key, then headed down to the pool.
When I entered the room Liam was already there, seated on one of the lounge chairs with his back to me. I assumed he was looking at his phone because there was a faint glow illuminating his face. I took off my shoes and shorts before quietly setting all of my things on the closest chair. Before he could realize I was already here, I sprinted at full speed towards the pool and did a cannonball right in the middle of the water. A massive splash went up and I quickly resurfaced.
"Where the hell did you come from?" he asked in shock.
"Well babe, you see, when a man and a woman love each other very much, they want to show each other that love. So they have sex and sometimes when they do this-" I started before he cut me off.
