We met the lads on the roof and Zayn started the fire. We all spread out on the picnic blankets and ate s'mores. Of course Louis wanted to tell some scary ghost stories to frighten us.
After awhile of chatting around the fire everyone laid down and stared at the stars. They were breath taking but I felt like there was a pair of eyes watching me. I turned to look at Liam whose was was turned towards me instead of the sky.
"Li, look at the stars," I whispered! "they're beautiful."
"Thanks but I have a much better view right here." he said with a grin. I couldn't help the blush that spread across my cheeks as I smiled back at him. Thank goodness it was too dark to see. I scooched over and laid my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me as I snuggled into his side.
"Look," I exclaimed, pointing up at the sky, "a shooting star! Everybody make a wish!" After the dazzling light faded from the sky I turned back to Liam. "What did you wish for?"
"I didn't wish for anything, I have all I need right here." he whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek. I smiled at him brightly. He always knew just what to say.
"I wish I could stay in this moment forever, everything is just so perfect." I said to no one in particular. Of course the boys took this as an oppurtunity to sing.
If we could only have this life for one more day
If we could only turn back time
Harry started. Once they started, their was no stopping them. But that was okay, I had never really listened to their music before and their voices were captivating. As I listened to the lyrics I found tears gathering in my eyes. They were all continuously singing, their voices in perfect harmony backing each other up. But then the other voices dropped out to let Zayn sing what I assume was his solo for the song.
Flashing lights in my mind, going back to the time
Playing games in the street, kicking balls with my feet
There's a numb in my toes, standing close to the edge
There's a pile of my clothes at the end of your bed
As I feel myself fall, make a joke of it all.
He sang beautifully before the others joined in for the chorus one last time. As they finished I was wiping tears from my eyes. "That was beautiful."
I looked around to see the others who all had tears in their eyes as well. I guess when something has such a deep meaning you never really get over the power of its impact.
"If only I had my guitar." Niall sighed. "It's getting tuned."
"You play guitar?" I asked incredulously. I really didn't know anything about them as a band.
"Yeah, been playing for years." he stated proudly.
"Same here! My dad taught me before- you know. Since I was fifteen. I actually have two guitars in my room..." I trailed off. Niall's eyes immediatly lit up and he shook his head so violently I thought it was going to fall off his neck. "Come help me carry them up?" I asked. He jumped up to follow me back inside.
"So are you coming back to hang out with us tomorrow?" he asked. "We all had so much fun today, it's been so long since we got a new friend." he said honestly.
"I wish I could but I have to work. My hotel room doesn't pay for itself you know." I replied.
"Aww man, well at least we have the next two weeks to hang out! This is the longest break we've had all tour. We only have to do three interviews but we don't have any performances," he informed me. By this time we were back inside and on the seventeenth floor. "Where is your room by the way?"
