"Yesterday was one of the best nights of my life, mami. I can't believe it even happened. I can't believe I am actually getting the opportunity to have him as part of my life. It was so magical though. Everything went right. We spent the whole night talking. Then the night ended with the most perfect dance... And then... Levi kissed me. EEK! I know I know. Papi would be furious but I couldn't help it. It was just like.... We were meant for each other. Oh but I don't know... We will see how it goes tonight at dinner. Love you!"
...
I closed the journal and put it back in my bag. I took the last bite of my sandwich and stood up from the lunch table in the back room.
"Done already?" Georgia said over her iPad.
I stopped in my tracks and nodded slowly. "Yes I am."
"Seeing that boy again?" Georgia said with an all knowing smirk.
I chuckled softly, looking down at the ground. "I've got to. Haven't seen him since last night." I said with a teasing tone, not yet telling her what happened last night. But I scurried out of there, leaving Georgia hanging.
I put my things in my locker then out to the lobby, it was empty except the tall, black haired man standing next to my desk out in the lobby. "Hey." I said smiling brightly.
Levi turned around, his blue eyes immediately lit up when he saw me. "Hey beautiful." He wrapped me in his arms tightly.
I smiled happily, hugging him back. The feeling of his touch again just gave me goosebumps all over. "Did you sleep okay?" I teased lightly.
Levi pulled away, his hand on my neck softly. "You kidding? I've never slept better in my whole life." He said with a chuckle. "How about you...?"
I shrugged. "Too happy to sleep, I guess." I chuckled, my hands on his back. "You're coming over tonight? My dad told me this morning. How come you didn't tell me last night?" I asked, slapping his arm.
Levi rubbed his upper arm. "Ow. Hey, it wasn't my fault, it was your dad's idea. He wants me to get to know your brothers and grandparents." He said with a nervous smile.
I smiled softly and stepped away from him, sitting at my desk to finish a few things. "Well, I am glad you are coming over. Do you think we are moving a bit too fast?" I asked abruptly.
Levi sat down in a chair across from me, he raised an eyebrow at me. "Not really. I mean, normally I would meet a girl's parents after the third or fourth date. I met yours before the first so it's gotta be a sign right?"
I narrowed my eyes at him and hummed softly. "I guess so. How's work? Anything interesting you can tell me to get my doctor drive going?" I laughed softly.
Levi laughed and shook his head. "If there was anything interesting, that would be the first thing I tell you, babe."
I raised an eyebrow. "So I am 'babe' now? Not just yet mister. You need to earn that." I laughed softly.
Levi laughed and shook his head. "Sorry. I want to call you that already, I guess."
I giggled softly and returned to my computer, typing in my login then turned back to him with a smile. "You know you're hot, don't you?"
He laughed and shook his head. "I can say the same thing to you." He grabbed my hand and quickly kissed my wrist. "I have to go. I am being buzzed as we speak." He let go of my hand and stood up.
I sighed. "Alright. Come by my house a few minutes early if you want... My Abuela loves men that cook."
Levi chuckled, shaking his head. "Okay." He stepped away from me, letting go of my hand. "Should I bring anything?"
